Barnegat High School Guidance Department

Please fill out the BHS scholarship application located on line at www.barnegatschools.com,

as soon as possible. After you complete the on-line application, you must print it and have

your coaches/advisors initial the school activity sheet. Submit the hard copy to the guidance

office. All applications must be typed.

2.

If you are applying for a scholarship that requires additional paperwork (application, essay,

etc.), please staple all documents together that pertain to that specific scholarship.



Essay

– All essays must be typed and double-spaced; unless, the donor has given

specific guidelines.

Be sure to include all information requested.



Separate Donor Application

– In addition to the BHS student application, fill out a

separate donor application when required.

Donor applications can be picked up in the

Guidance Office.

Use the local donor scholarship list to review the requirements for each scholarship and

check off the ones you are applying for on the check-off list. Please be sure that you have a

scholarship application, required essay(s) and any additional information requested by the

donor.

4.

Make a copy of the completed scholarship packet for your records before submitting to the

guidance office.

5.

When your application(s) and additional paperwork are completed, staple the entire packet

together placing the check-off list on the top.

6.

A receipt will be given to you when you drop off your application in guidance.

This receipt is

for acceptance of packet only. Once again, it is up to you to make sure that everything

requested is attached, as we will be unable to notify you if items are incomplete or missing.

7.

Bring the entire scholarship application packet to the Guidance Office by:

APRIL 6, 2009 – 12:00 PM

NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE DEADLINE

THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS

You do not need to wait until the deadline to return the application packets.

APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PARENT SIGNATURE
