Cette Bibliographie de l'Océanie porte sur les volumes et articles parus en 1969. Elle est la vingt-sixième
d'une série inaugurée en 1946. Elle couvre, géo graphiquement, le Pacifique insulaire : Polynésie, Micronésie,
Mélanêsie et Australasie, à l'exclusion des façades américaines et asiatiques du Pacifique, du Japon, des
Philippines et de l'Indonésie.
Elle s'intéresse aux sciences humaines : histoire et géographie, archéologie, ethnologie, linguistique, vie
économique, acculturation, art et littérature.
Cette bibliographie est signalétique et sélective, ce choix étant d'ailleurs fait très largement, de manière
à essayer de recenser tout ce qui peut être source de documentation ou d'information sur les sciences humaines
du Pacifique insulaire.
MUe R. Heyum est actuellement détachée à l'Université de Hawaii. Les Océanistes lui sauront gré d'avoir
