HFR DIVISION
Abstract
Within JRC's 1980/1983 program, the materials testing reactor HFR
continued its scheduled operation.
During the first half year 1982 it reached 78.6% availability at 45 MW.
The occupation by irradiation experiments and radioisotope production
devices varied between 79 and 85%.
The average occupation level of 82% during this half year, marks a new
record figure in the 18 years of HFR history.

F.l. Operation of the HFR reactor
On a lower level of subdivision, the term "project" (nuclear activity)
appears again when referring to irradiation projects
and individual supporting activities. It also allocates a four years' budget of 52.22

of operation, utilization, and management of HFR staff.

The operation of the reactor will continue to the
benefit of the research programmes of the parti­
cipating Member States and for the JRC's own
requirements. Outside clients will also be able to
