Der Verfasser beschreibt und kommentiert eine sich in Rosheim, 1737, zugetragene Vergiftungsaffäre deren Akten sich in den Archives départementales du Bas-Rhin befinden. Er beleuchtet damit die Gesundheitseinrichtungen in den kleinen Städten dieser Gegend : zahlreiche Landchirurgen von geringem Niveau, besser ausgebildete Apotheker, nicht selten ausländischer Herkunft, und amtsärtzliche Inspektoren deren berufliche Strenge und Unbestechlichkeit zweifelhaft erscheinen.
A propos an affair of poisoning : surgeons, apothecaries and inspectors of the pharmacy in Lower Alsace about 1737.
The author retraces and comments on an episode of poisoning occurring at Rosheim in 1737, the file having been conserved in the departmental archives of the Lower Rhine. He illustrates therein the public health structure of the small villages of the region : numerous surgeon-barbers of poor professional standing, better qualified pharmacists, occasionally foreign trained, and physician inspectors of doubtful integrity and rigor.
