Appendix 1 – Learning Outcomes – this document provides the context from which the minimum standards for training content were derived. It refers to the expected learning outcomes for effective safeguarding children training (level 1) as described by Working Together 2006 and Common Induction Standards. Appendix 2 –how the minimum training content and learning shows

outcomes fit together. The right hand hand column cross references the

expected training content to learning outcomes in appendix 1.

Agencies and Independent providers should always ensure that their policies, proceedures and practice are consistent with Tameside’s Child Protection Proceedures; this should be reflected through your child protection training.

Tameside’s Child Protection Procedures are located in the Tameside Safeguarding Children Framework 2007. Copies of this are available from

the TSCB web sitewww.tameside.gov.uk/childprotection

As you are aware, new policies and developments are constantly emerging and this website should be referred to regularly to up date

training materials in line with any new TSCB policies and developments.
