This work will also be conducted with pharmacists faced with requests from patients. Monitoring the consumption of tranquilizers achieved by age groups will permit the measuring during the next two years the results of these interventions.   After the success of the first thematic meetings of HAS (28 May 2008) to "improve the prescription drug in the very old" with psychotropic drugs, a new national day of presentations and exchanges of experience among health professionals will be held in May 2009.            PROGRAM2007 - 2010  “Improving the prescription of psychotropic drugs  in the French elderly”    Anxi t e y    Appraisal step 2008      HAT WE KNOW W  Signs of anxiety are a common reason for consulting among seniors. In fact, these signs often hide depression. In only 3 to 10% of cases, these signs are the expression of a characterized anxiety disorder (such as generalized anxiety disorder, for example) that is difficult to diagnose in daily practice.   Anxiety disorders characterized must be distinguished from normal anxiety and anxiety symptoms. They are defined according to the number, intensity and duration of symptoms, and emotional suffering or a marked impact on the patient's life.
