In Budapest in the Castle of Buda opened in 1974 the Pharmaceutical Museum as the section of the Semmelweis Medical Historical Museum. In this atmospherical ancient building functioned the first pharmacy of the Castle during more as 160 years, after the Turk occupation of Buda. The exhibition does not only represent evocativ interieurs, but follows didactically the formation of the pharmacy. The exhibition represents international and Hungarian objective, written and printed relics from the XVth-XVIIITIth century, because the development of the pharmacy was significant in those times. According to the two branches of the art, the exhibition is divided into two parts: the pharmacy - trade and the pharmacy manufactory. The one part includes the officina and its equipment, the other the laboratory and its instruments. Of course the emotional intérieur is to be found on both parts. We mainly emphasized the Hungarian relics (furniture, pharmaceutical ceramic - vessels, paintings, books, etc.) because they are internationally mostly rare and less known.
Im J. 1974 war in Budapest, im Budaer Burgviertel das Pharmaziegeschichtliche Museum als Sektion des Semmelweis Medizinhistorischen Museums eröffnet. Im eindrucksvollen Gebäude war durch mehr als 160 Jahre die erste Apotheke der Budaer Burg nach der Befreiung vom Türkenjoch tätig. Die Ausstellung bietet nicht mir charakteristische Interieurs dar, sondern sie geht didaktisch dem Prozess der Entwicklung der Pharmazie nach. Sie stellt internationale und ungarische, sachliche, schriftliche und gedruckte Denkmäler aus den XV.-XVIII. Jahrhunderten dar, da eben die pharmazeutische Prax dieser Zeiten von Bedeutung war. Gemäss den zwei Fachdisziplinen : dem Medikamentenhandel und der Vorbereitung von Medikamenten ist die Ausstellung zweiteilig. Der eine Teil stellt die Offizin und ihre Einrichtung ; der andere das Laboratorium und die dort gebrauchten Utensilien dar. Natürlich sind die eindrucksvollen Interieurs in beiden Teilen anzufinden. Es wurden hauptsächlich die einheimischen Denkmäler (Möbel, keramische Apothekengefässe, Gemälden, Bücher usw.) hervorgehoben worden, da diese zugleich international seltener und weniger bekannt sind.
