The first rumanian pharmacopoeia
First, it is exposed the historical and administrativ-territorial conditions of the United - Principality, which require the appearence of the first Rumanian Pharmacopoeia on the 1st of January, in 1863.
Then, it is mentioned the material difficulties which appeared when this Pharmacopoeia was published and the way of its spreading by the drawing up commitee.
It is made, then, a short description of the Pharmacopoeia, underlining the authors outlook and the way in which the monographs and the others including data are sistematizated.
At last, there are made some personal appreciations, distinguishing several specific features which are very important for this Pharmacopoeia, e.g. : a precious spring of information for the practising - chemists, in connection with the profesional polivalence of a chemist from that time ; its particulary value as an organizational document for the public health system ; a text - book and a guide for all specialists ; the only official book having the right to circulate in the territory of the Rumanian country.
