The Priory of Sainte-Gauburge {Orne) and its Medico-Pharmaceutical Sculpture. Presentation of four sculptures from the priory of Sainte-Gauburge (15th century) it appears, have not up to the present time been known to historians of medicine pharmacy. They represent: an apothecary stirring a pestle in a mortar, a man a bag of herbs (?), a figure holding a « matula », and, perhaps, the doctor (?). The reason for the existence of these sculptures in the priory is not known.

Die medizinisch-pharmazeutischen Skulpturen in der Skt. Walburgis-Propstei {Prieuré de Sainte-Gauburge, Orne). Besprechung von vier Skulpturen des Sainte- Gauburge Priorats (15. Jht) welche bis jetzt den Historikern der Medizin und Pharmascheinbar nicht bekannt waren. Es werden dargestellt : ein Apotheker welcher in einem Mörser stosst, ein Sackträger mit Heilpflanzen (?), eine Person welche eine matula halt, und, vielleicht, der Arzt (?). Man weiss nicht warum diese Skulpturen in der Propstei vorhanden sind.
