Salon und Laboratorium von Lavoisier im « Arsenal », ein Kreis in welchem die neue Chemie entstand.
Lavoisier und seine Gemahlin waren im « Arsenal », in der Nähe der « Bastille » von 1776 bis 1792 wohnhaft. Der Verfasser malt das Bild des mondänen und wissenschaftlichen Lebens welches sie dort betrieben. Er mustert die Mitarbeiter, die Schuler und die Besucher dieser Orten. Er erinnert an bedeutende Punkte der chemischen Forschung welche Lavoisier daselbst unternahm und unterstreicht die hohen Kosten mit denen er sein schönes Laboratorium erstellte.
The salon and the laboratory of Lavoisier at the Arsenal, the chamber where the new chemistry evolved.
Lavoisier and his wife resided at the Arsenal, near the Bastille, from 1776 to 1792. The author paints a picture of daily life and of the scientific life which they led. He brings into review their collaborators, their students and the visitors who frequented their premises. He recalls the principal points of chemical research which Lavoisier was able to effect there and stresses the high cost of his beautiful laboratory.

The salon and the laboratory of Lavoisier at the Arsenal, the chamber where the new chemistry evolved.

Lavoisier and his wife resided at the Arsenal, near the Bastille, from 1776 to 1792. The author paints a picture of daily life and of
