This book is intended for the use of investors in Real Estate mortgages and of those persons who may be called upon to act in an advisory capacity to such investors in passing judgment upon the physical, moral or legal features of Real Estate securities. None such can read it without profit and few, hav- ing once read it, will be willing to dispense with it as a reference book, for it will often enable them to avoid errors which might result in unsatisfactory experiences. The treatment of the subject is in no sense technical nor theoretical but is simply a few discussions of practical questions w4iich are apt to arise in the mortgage loan business and is written by one whose experience in such extended manymatter has over years and into many different sections of the country.
