Revue Philosophique de Louvain - Année 1973 - Volume 71 - Numéro 10 - Pages 247-270The aim of this article is to show the continuity between Sein und Zeit and a lecture delivered thirty-five years later, Zeit und Sein. The link is sought in Kant und das Problem der Metaphysik, where transcendental imagination is promoted. The latter is to be conceived not as a faculty, but as original time or élan which gives foundation to and makes explicit all of the structures of the Dasein. It is in the light of transcendental imagination thus understood that Zeit und Sein must be read. Appropriation (Ereignis) is the hidden word used therein for transcendental imagination which makes being explicit phenomenologically as Anwesen, time as temporality, and man as Dasein. (Transl. by J. Dudley).
