Description
The role of semantic context in arithmetic problem solving was studied with the variation of story cover lines and of objects category structure in two experiments. First and second experiment were conducted with 190 15-years-old and 98 10-year-old children respectively. The results suggest that the effect or objects category structure is depending on problem cover story lines. We discuss these results in the framework of a theory of objects categorization as described in the statements.
