Instant-Activity Kits
Classroom Suite
includes 30 instant-activity kits. Each
kit includes an Activity ready for students to use, a
Template ready for teachers to create additional similar
activities quickly, and a PDF file of this tutorial.
My State
The My State instant-activity kit includes the My State
Vermont activity, the My State Template, and a PDF file
of this tutorial. You can find these components by
opening the Social Studies Templates folder and then
the My State folder in the New area of
Classroom Suite
.
The My State Template provides information and
assessment for primary grade social studies students
who are studying the fifty states of the United States.
Students can consult a state facts area to learn about a
state and use the provided word banks to answer
questions. The text is read aloud by the computer.
In this tutorial, you will start by exploring the My State
Vermont activity. Later in the tutorial, you will learn to
create customized social studies activities focused on
states, using the My State Template.
Universal Design
The activities you create using the My State Template
and
Classroom Suite
are designed for all students,
including those with physical or cognitive disabilities.
