E» Schroeter Institut für Neutronenphysik und Reaktortechnik Kernforschungszentrum Karlsruhe Introduction The development of large fast power reactors is one of the major topics of the atomic energy program of several countries» As far as the predic­tion of the physical behaviour of a fast breeder is concerned, the re­sults presented at the Argonne Conference in 1965 showed no satisfactory agreement. In this paper the fundamental procedure used in Karlsruhe in calculating fast reactors is presented.
