First of all, the response of the RICH detector has been analyzed viaa dedicated efficiency measurement, that has allowed us to understand the responseof the detector to a single photon and to evaluate the overall detector efficiency. Thefigure of merit N of the detector has been calculated for each of the six RICH sec-0tors separately and values between 70 and 85 have been found. The analysis of thismeasurement has allowed us to develop a very detailed detector parameterization, thatenabled to calculate the single electron efficiency of the RICH detector on the base of+ −simulations. An average single of 85% has been evaluated for e epairs produced in the target.
