THE ENERGY AUDITIntroduction• The energy audit was used as a preliminary procedure of the EYE MANAGER CHAMPIONSHIP in order to obtain adequate information about the energy consumption profile of the 4 case studies ( 2 houses and 2 schools). • The present audit plays a crucial role in the implementation of energy saving measures by the international teams involved in the project and in the fulfilling of the aims connected to Energy Education in secondary schools .• Students, teachers and agency experts followed standard procedures and steps:• On- site Survey• Utility Data Analysis • Baseline for Energy Use ( INPUT DATA QUESTIONNAIRE)CASE STUDY 1SCHOOL 45 “ TITU MAIORESCU”SCHOOL 45 “TITU MAIORESCU” is located inthe heart of Bucharest- the capital of Romania. Itwas built in 1986 during the communist regime and itis an imposing architectural work. A major energy consumer, the building is the responsibility of The Ministry of Education and the Local Council.The maintenance of the school is provided by internal personnel ( a stoker, 2 mechanics, a carpenter) under the co- ordination of an administrator.The school’s main energy scenario is the following:- Fluorescent and incandescent lights- Large wall thickness (50 cm)- Double- glazed windows- 25 centralized air conditioners- 50 computers- A lift ( only for personnel use)- 8 interactive boards- Electrical and electronic equipmentCASE STUDY 2- “VIRGIL MADGEARU”COLLEGE“VIRGIL MADGEARU” ...
