A medical prescription from 5th century Gaul.
This prescription, found in Poitiers, prescribes Centaury in the form of an aqueous extract concentrated to obtain a pill mass, but it had to be prepared immediately after collecting the plant and had to be administered quickly, within twenty-four hours. The dosage required three pills to be given on two consecutive days, which meant two harvests and two preparations.
Ein ärztliches Rezept des 5. Jahrhunderts in Galien.
Dieses in Poitiers aufgefundene Rezept verschreibt Tausendguldenkraut in Form von wässerigem, bis zum Erhalten einer Pillemasse konzentriertem Extrakt. Doch muss das Heilmittel sogleich nach dem Ernten der Pflanze zubereitet und rasch eingegeben werden, ohne den nächsten Tag abzuwarten. Die Benutzungsvorschrift ist von drei Pillen während zwei sich folgenden Tagen, was zwei Ernten und zwei Zubersitungen erfordert.
