The ability of writing a research paper (RP) is a major

skill that must be mastered by a university student. Perhaps

he needs such a skill in all courses. This skill, at the

undergraduate level, paves the road to writing RP‟s in the

post-graduate level, for sure, when the student works on his

MA thesis or PhD dissertation.

In addition, many jobs require writing RP‟s, especially

leading jobs, which need doing research for evaluation or

development purposes. Thus, writing RP‟s is not a luxury,

but a need both at university and after university.This book

comes to guide the student to how he can write a RP. It does

not focus on details of how to conduct research, data

collection, data classification, data analysis, or statistical

chapters. The first chapter is on how to use the library,

where most research works start. The second chapter is on

how to choose a R (research) topic. The third chapter is on

R types. The fourth chapter is on steps to be followed by a

researcher. The fifth chapter is on data collection and data

sources. The sixth chapter is on documentation, all types.

The seventh chapter is on how to organize and print the RP.

The eighth chapter is on how to evaluate the RP.

 At the end of every chapter, some questions and

exercises come, and they are usually done at the university

library itself. They are field-work exercises.
