Dear Mama and Papa Bear:
Perhaps you have heard the myth that only children are spoiled, whiny, and selfish. Not so . . . the truth of the matter is that onlies are very independent, conscientious, diligent, and dependable. In fact, if you want a job done right, hire an only child.
Onlies are little adults by age seven . . . most likely to grow up to be scientists, pilots, anesthesiologists, professors, or English teachers or to succeed in other professions where perfection is rewarded.
Your only child, whether seven or seventeen, will enjoy this book. He or she will learn just how much he or she is loved and how advantageous it is to be an only child. As one only child told me when I asked why she was an only child, “Doc, I think Mom and Dad thought they reached perfection the very first try.”
By the way, it might be a good idea to start looking for that youngest or middle child for your little cub to marry someday.
Blessings to you and your only child.
