Description

Nationally-known birth-order expert Dr. Kevin Leman knows that every child has unique traits that should be celebrated. If you are an only child, you probably exhibit traits like organization, self confidence, and ambition. With this creative and heartwarming book, Dr. Kevin Leman and his artist son, Kevin Leman II, conclude their popular birth-order series for children. Written specifically for the only child and similar in style to the first three books in the series, My Only Child, There's No One Like You uses birth-order principles to convey love and acceptance to children. The combination of Dr. Leman's trademark humor and Kevin Leman II's colorful and imaginative artwork makes this book a wonderful gift that can be enjoyed by parents and children, as well as the adult only child.

Extrait

Dear Mama and Papa Bear:
Perhaps you have heard the myth that only children are spoiled, whiny, and selfish. Not so . . . the truth of the matter is that onlies are very independent, conscientious, diligent, and dependable. In fact, if you want a job done right, hire an only child.
Onlies are little adults by age seven . . . most likely to grow up to be scientists, pilots, anesthesiologists, professors, or English teachers or to succeed in other professions where perfection is rewarded.
Your only child, whether seven or seventeen, will enjoy this book. He or she will learn just how much he or she is loved and how advantageous it is to be an only child. As one only child told me when I asked why she was an only child, “Doc, I think Mom and Dad thought they reached perfection the very first try.”
By the way, it might be a good idea to start looking for that youngest or middle child for your little cub to marry someday.
Blessings to you and your only child.
