The ornaments up on their own special shelf
Were placed there by Natalie s hand.
The little collection grew larger each year
-
A happy and welcoming band.
A dinosaur towered above all the rest,
With a wind-up frog just by its feet.
A cat whose paw waved, a grey rabbit, a bear
And an acrobat keeping the beat.
A collapsing giraffe, and a girl with a hat,
A wise owl and a wooden peg doll,
A stern ballerina whose toes were quite flat
And a tortoise, the smallest of all.
