This book is dedicated to artistic mice everywhere
who have too long stayed in the shadows.
In the museum where Artemous LeMouse lives and works, there are many famous paintings. But some are very old, and the paint has begun to fade and crack. That’s where Artemous comes into the picture.
For he is the latest LeMouse in a long line of LeMouse art restorers going back over 300 years – human years, not mouse years, which are shorter (just like the mice).
As an art restorer, he naturally has to sleep during the day when the museum is filled with art lovers, who might be a tad squeamish at seeing a mouse, no matter how talented, scampering around the museum, lugging his tiny brushes and mouse-sized tubes of paint.
And Artemous doesn’t just restore the old masterpieces; he climbs inside the paintings to do his work.
