To Johnny and Daniel.
Before the Story Begins
George was a little guy made out of plastic. He had pink skin and black hair. He always wore a red jumpsuit and shiny red shoes.
Katie and Mackenzie tied George to a dragon rocket on fireworks day. Their mother set off the rocket. She did not see the plastic guy tied to the side. So up he went!
The air got colder and colder. The jets got hotter and hotter.
Boom!
Ten thousand lights exploded around him.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
George couldn’t decide what to do. One arm wanted to go one way. The other arm wanted to go another way. And the legs wouldn’t follow each other.
It was every part for itself!
George’s parts went everywhere. All Katie and Mackenzie could find were a leg and a shoe.
Will George ever get back together again?

George Lands on a Blackberry
George fell through blackberry space. He was out of control! He chipped the point off a star. He sliced the tail off a comet. He diced some moonbeams.
Chop, chop! Bits of the night flew everywhere.
George tried to steer the rocket, but he had no hands. How could he steer the rocket without his big strong hands?
He stepped on the brakes, but he had no shoes. How could he stop the rocket without his shiny red shoes?
