Lilley the Pizza Mouse Gets Rescued
Lilley and Cha Spare a Fat Goose
LILLEY THE PIZZA MOUSE GETS RESCUED
We last saw Lilley the Pizza Mouse being captured at the Italian Pizza Restaurant and then getting released back into the woods by the exterminator, Mr. Catcher. There Lilley found her way back home to a hole in the ground with a lily flower growing on top; that was where Lilley’s parents lived.
This story begins with a little girl named Cha and her mother, Leah, walking in the woods on a spring afternoon.
All at once, a terrible storm blows in. Cha and her mother look for a place to get out of the heavy rain and wind. The skies are all dark when suddenly they spot the opening of a cave with a creek close by. They run inside the cave to escape the storm. The wind blows and blow, and the tree limbs move back and forth. Just when it seems the storm will never end, it stops. Cha and her mother take a breath and wait a bit before getting up the courage to venture out of the cave to see what has happened.
Cha looks around and says, “Oh, look there!” Floating in a stream of water running down the hill is a leaf, and on the leaf is a little mouse, lying down and not moving.
