Description

Sit back and enjoy a truly imaginative magical mystery tour with the occupants of Pegland and Starland, two beautiful islands in the South Pacific Ocean. Peg characters mix with rats, frogs and a Guardian Angel in a colourful cocktail which has some real Beatrix Potter resonances as reality and fantasy intertwine and humans, pegs, rats and frogs mingle together. Pegs they may be but they can read and write and bake chocolate cake as well. Pegland and Starland by J.M. Vignes-Dumas is a curious Alice in Wonderland style fusion of a children's story interwoven with the adult world, making for a charming and colourful tale that slips constantly between fantasy and reality, a very real candidate for animation or a stage production. Whatever age you are, you cannot fail to enjoy and be charmed by this classic tale.
