Michelle was adopted at birth and brought up in Stanwell, Middlesex. She invented cartoon characters whilst in primary school and wrote her first book at age 12. She has exhibited as a solo artist and also in the Mall Galleries, London, as a former member within the Guild of Aviation Artists along with her late father. Michelle also illustrates all of her own books.
