Description

The Crazy Untamable, Tamable Tongue is about a young boy who experiences a growing tongue as he responds to situations in somewhat of a reactionary way. A young girl shows up to help him with his predicament. If you like the story of Pinocchio and stories with rhythm and whimsy, such as Dr. Seuss ,you'll enjoy reading The Crazy Untamable, Tamable Tongue.
The Crazy Untamable, Tamable Tongue is a two-part story narrated by a young boy who takes his readers on a one-day journey. He tells about the day he was lazy with his words, speaking without much consideration or thought. In Part I, the boy engages his readers with the story of how his tongue started growing. In Part II, he goes on to tell about the insightful friend who shows up to help him with his predicament. The two embrace a sweet teachable moment. This updated version of The Crazy Untamable, Tamable Tongue is whimsical and sensible. It is an enjoyable and fun story for all, with lessens that children will want to read, or have read to them over and over again. The story is unique in that it can be read with either part or chapter first.

PART I or II
The Crazy Untamable Tongue
Thoughtlessness, Carelessness, Helplessness, Hopelessness
Gentle words are a tree of life;
A deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
Proverbs 15:4 NLT
But no human being can tame the tongue,
it is a restless evil full of deadly poison.
James 3:8 NIV
Sometimes I can’t help the things that I say . . .
The words come out wrong and go astray.
Have YOU ever had such a day?

Some people might say,
on this particular day,
that my tongue went crazy,
when my mouth got lazy.
LET ME EXPLAIN …
I was feeling a little anxious and uptight.
Slightly touchy and impolite.
A little testy and unsure,
I guess I was feeling insecure.

But I was also feeling a little PROUD …
Obnoxious! Big! A goof and LOUD !
Fiery, grand, just, and right.
(I had a hard time being polite.)

My words were a little gruffy.
Not so puffy or fluffy.
You know?
The arrangement seemed wrong.
And my words came out strong.
Like a cold rushing river…

that made some people quiver !
(And shiver !)
