This story is about a wolf and a girl, but first you need to know some things about wolves.
There are a few different types of wolves. They are generally regarded as dangerous, mean, or aggressive, and they live together in packs. They work very well together as trained teams, each with its own job when they hunt for food.
They are members of the dog family, and one of the most common types is the timber wolf.
The biggest wolf on record weighed 147 pounds or 67 kilograms.
The boss dog is known as the alpha male. He gets that role by being strong, big, fast and fit.
Wolves eat meat, which means they eat other animals, just as most humans do.
In the wild, they are also unafraid of humans and are not our friends. That is what nature intended. Where humans and wolves have to live close together, wolves will often feed on farm animals that the humans are trying to breed. After all, we all have to eat to survive.
In wolf country, farmers and hunters will happily shoot wolves,
either to keep their skins as trophies to hang on a wall at
home or simply to keep themselves, their children, and
their animals safe from harm.
