Description

The idea of time, a celestial formation through which we pursue a strange reassuring basis bringing change. But the mishap in the perfection of rotation means what to you? If time is simply another unpredictability, are there only changes and perspectives to truly define life? This is a compilation of poetry, words of change, angst, time, loss and wonders. The stance of change and surroundings on myself, and conversely, mine towards them. A raw copy of conceptions and questions that look back on time and transitions, the very nature of our planet which forms our ambience and our hardships. Our perturbation for the future, a phobia of the past repeating, a dismay for the present. There is this fear in every soul for change's new gift, and maybe even a trauma of those prior. We tend to allow images of what we used to own to dominate all we see in the present, but in reality you would never be able to mourn something you never held. So isn't all we mourn simply change? However, even time does not rotate perfectly. Is nothing inevitable?

To Genevieve and Des

Always Been You
The sun shone a beam onto your tarmac
And straight in you stepped
Looking into my eyes with rest
Clear orbit just like me
You look with the best intentions
Sing humbly under your breath
Your imperfections are
Few yet blended
Into a painting of your depths
You stepped into the sunbeam
Right beside my frozen palm
Different to those who sigh behind
You smiled
And I smiled back
Today the air whistles a tune
I sigh with its clear chimes
For the full clouds
Allow the awakening
Full clouds miss sometimes

Citric Awakening
Sunrise shone its magnificence
Behind branches of menace
Coiling with the cold breeze
The room was tinted a lukewarm orange
Through the window
As outside stood the only envy
Outside draped a merged tapestry
Of crimson dripping to lemon
Such a beauty
It stands in the awaiting eyes
Tranquil, for no footsteps walk the street

Never Fade
Hard to differ without instilling exile.
Holding potential yet considering
The risk of mankind’s tendencies, so blind,
Others so easily dragged into the concept
Of cloning
To transform into a single body
All voices succumbing to cacophony
Masquerade of unsatisfied collectives,
Masquerade of demarcated prospects,
Look beyond such tendencies
So blind

Sometime After 3am
The cure of my words
Standing correct
But lying new
Time has not carried them
But I’ll still give them to
You
They are not joined
From a lesson
Simply view
We can be wise but
Can’t hold all for you
The bass begins to fade
The pinnacle reached long ago
Blunder glints more than ever in the eyes
Revealed that they can hang deep below
That’s when eyes await in ours
Shoulders fallen under weight as we begin to speak
A dark creature outside reveals the past privilege
For further years used to be all we would seek
Sometime after 3am
For some, all twenty four
The stars whisper, but the beast screeches over
Past 3am is no dream
