ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Mary Higgins was always being told to stop imagining things. She grew up in the Bahamas, moving to the United States when she was ten years old. Her parents tried to curb their daughter’s wild imagination so she could focus on her schoolwork. She eventually listened and put her fantasies on the back burner to get through school. She graduated from university with a degree in literary studies and immediately started to write. Her tales are filled with mysterious creatures and fantasies.
What she highlights to the reader through these stories is that even if there are other species in the universe, they all have something in common. They are all looking for love or at least sexual satisfaction. It is how they go about it that makes everything interesting.

THE SPACE STATION
She listened to the band as they played onstage. To her it sounded like a flock of birds fighting. She did not recognize any of the musical instruments that they were using and the persons in the band all had three pairs of hands. They were Maaken and they were playing like it was their last gig in the universe. This sort of thing appealed to the younger ones as this type of music was not playing the last time that she was here.
They had a lead singer who was from another planet. She was from Parsa (the purple planet). Her fur kept changing color based on her emotions and it hurt the eyes. All Leana knew was that this music was not from her home planet earth or any planet close to it. This was not strange as Protacti, the station that she was on was far away from her home and she was one of the few Earth pilots that went there.
