Description

If you're a hopeless romantic, and you love a happy ending; you'll fall in love with Alicia Connors and Anthony Royce. Get your copy today, follow them on their journey and find out how they found A New Light a New Love!
A New Light a New Love
This is a love story; it's a faith story, about Alicia and Anthony, two complete strangers with something in common; a devastating loss. From outward appearances they have worked through their grief and moved on, but those closest to them, know the truth. Their inability to let go of the pain and grief of their past, has prevented them from finding love again.
They have not lived but merely existed in a self-imposed darkness, cutting them off from the joy of life, still very much available to them. The fervent prayers of a loving sister will bring them together, but it's a loving and wise God who will bless them with their happily ever after.
I hope my readers will follow them on their journey as hand in hand they walk out of the darkness into a New Light and a New Love!

“No Chance Encounter”
“Your picture doesn’t do you justice.” He said quietly.
For the past two hours, Alicia had been steadily signing books. Her right hand was starting to cramp up, and the pain across the bridge of her nose was slowly creeping down the base of her skull, signaling the onset of a full-blown migraine. She’d opted not to take a break earlier to eat, a decision she now fully regretted. So between her cramping hand, the pain building in her head and the rumbling in her belly, she’d barely noticed when he handed her yet another book to sign. She hadn’t looked up or noticed his hands, but his silky sexy voice assaulted her ears and penetrated the fatigue clouding her brain.
“I beg your pardon.” She said, finally looking up at the honey-brown face housing a set of haunting brown eyes flecked with gold. As she registered his face, his eyes, and those lips—her heart began to beat a little too fast and she couldn’t remember her name, let alone sign it.
“You said something about my picture?” She stammered, hoping he didn’t notice the sheen of perspiration that had begun to form on her upper lip. He cocked his head slightly to the side and smiled, showing brilliant-white teeth. Like a deer caught in the headlights, she sat there wondering if it was her empty stomach or his mesmerizing smile, making her feel light-headed. In response to her question he slowly took the book from her hand, turned it to the back cover, and pointed to her picture.
“I said,” he said, smiling that awesome smile. “Your picture doesn’t do you justice. You’re much prettier in person. ”
Alicia couldn’t remember the last time she’d blushed, but judging from the intense warmth she could feel spread across her cheeks, she knew she must be beet red. As she scrambled to think of a response to his completely unexpected compliment, he extended his beautifully manicured hand.
“Let me introduce myself,” he said. “Anthony—my name is Anthony Royce.”
His hand swallowed hers as she returned his hand shake. She blushed again, and she envisioned all the wonderful things he could probably do with those hands. As if he’d read her mind, he flashed a wicked grin and squeezed her hand before letting it go. The “thank you” she uttered barely above a whisper seemed insufficient in response to how he’d made her feel, but it was all she could manage.
“My sister bought your book at your last book signing , ” he said. “She told me a little about your story, and I decided I wanted to read it for myself. From what she told me, we have some things in common.”
Her raised eyebrows must have conveyed the question she had not verbally expressed. His smile faded briefly, replaced by a hint of sadness .
“My wife died five years ago.” He said, in a voice thick with emotion.
Alicia’s mouth felt dry, and she struggled to come up with an appropriate response to his very personal revelation. Before she could find comforting words, she noticed the line that had formed behind him. At the look on her face he turned slightly and noticed as well all the people behind him. Turning back to her, he handed her the book again with a sheepish grin.
“I guess I need to move on and let you sell some books.” He said, flashing that dazzling smile.
With supreme effort, she took her eyes off his handsome face and began to write on the inside cover of her book. Thank you so much for your support. I hope you enjoy the read. Alicia. When she handed the book back to him, his hand grazed hers slightly, setting off an electric shock. She favored him with a smile of her own and looked longingly, as he turned and walked away with her book and his credit card in his hand.
Over the next forty-five minutes, as she signed more books, her mind was preoccupied with thoughts of the handsome stranger. When she finally gathered her things and prepared to leave the bookstore, she wondered wistfully if she’d ever see him again. Alicia needed to make a quick pit stop in the ladies’ room to relieve her bladder and freshen up before leaving. When she emerged from the restroom and headed toward the exit, she received the answer to her question.
I wonder if I’ll see Him Again.
Alicia blinked rapidly at first, not believing her own eyes. It can’t be him , she thought to herself as she moved closer to the exit. Oh my God! she thought, as she got even closer. It is him ! He was leaning casually up against the door, looking like a model straight off of a GQ magazine cover. From her vantage point at the table, he’d looked very tall, but now that they were on the same level, she guessed he was about six foot one or two.
He was slim but not skinny. He looked like he worked out, his muscular arms evident through the sleeves of his navy-blue single-breasted blazer. He wore crisply pressed jeans and a starched white collarless shirt. Around his neck he wore a thin gold herringbone chain. He was wearing a pair of soft leather cognac-colored lace-up oxfords.
