Description

Forever Yours: Whole Again is a continuation of the Forever Yours Trilogy starting with Forever Yours: How It All Began and Forever Yours: Broken Promises. Though they are fiction novels, each book depicts real life experiences such as joy, triumphs, successes, as well as death, disappointments, pain but most importantly, growth.
Since her divorce, Tahleea has struggled with feeling inadequate, insecure and not enough, yet she’s determined to find happiness within herself. While working on getting to know herself again, a few contenders, including her ex-husband, seek her love. Tahleea isn’t ready to settle again, but one of the contenders, Jaxon, her best friend, has always had her heart which makes her question her decision on keeping her options open. When Jaxon makes a visit to spend time with her, they have a chance to talk about love. They quickly find out the four letter word had totally different meanings in their lives. Tahleea feels like LOVE took her to an unarmed battle and left her to fight alone. She’s still trying to heal from the wounds that were inflicted upon her during her difficult marriage. Jaxon reminisced on how he felt when he found love. It seemed like a scene from a romantic movie. She realized the love he spoke of was her.
Will Tahleea overcome her battles of feeling insecure, inadequate and not enough? Will she be able to trust again? Will she let down her guard to love and be loved? The answers are inside.

~~Tahleea’s POV~~
“Aaahhh! Move up just a little Dre. Oooh right there. RIGHT THERE! That’s it, that’s the spot. Ok ok, KEEP IT RIGHT THERE! Now go deeper. Deeper Dre!
“I’m as deep as I can go Tahleea. You’re already going to be sore after this.”
Dre had come by to see the trio before leaving to go on one of his business trips. To give them a little time to spend together, I went on my usual five mile run. It was a beautiful day outside, so I decided to run the park trail close to my house. Running is therapy for me. It’s time I spend reflecting on my life, decluttering my mind but most of all, spending some time with God, thanking Him for life. Even though mine has been a little fucked up lately, I’m still thankful.
Just as I made it to the threshold of my front door, that’s when it hit me. A dang charlie horse, muscle spasm, cramp, or whatever you call it, grabbed on to my upper thigh near my buttocks. I couldn’t move. I fell to the floor trying my best to massage the pain away. Nothing I was doing helped. Hearing my groans, Dre and the trio ran from the kitchen to see what was happening with me. AJ helped me to my feet. I tried walking to the couch but that cramp had a vice grip on my thigh and wouldn’t let me go any further than where we stood.
Dre came to my other side as he and AJ lifted me up and carried me to the couch. I was almost in tears. It seemed like every time I moved, the spasm became worse. Drew ran to the bathroom closet to get the heating pad as Tahlese stood watching me, feeling sorry for me I’m quite sure.
“It’s in my upper thigh. Please Dre it hurts. Every time I move, it cramps up more.”
When he noticed the area in which the muscle spasm was located and where he’d need to massage, he looked at me with a goofy grin. “Would you like for me to massage you t here?”
I don’t have time for his antics. I’m already holding my breath trying to alleviate the pain, as if that was helping. “Dre! Please!” I said through gritted teeth.
As Drew plugged in the heating pad, Dre started massaging my thigh. He finally felt the area where the muscle was aching and gave it a deep massage. At first, I felt like jumping off of the couch. It hurt so bad. A few minutes had slowly crept by when Dre had finally massaged the spasm out and I hurriedly placed the heating pad on my thigh.
“You know we aren’t getting any younger. Maybe you need to start running three miles instead of five.” He turned his head to laugh while the trio stood around trying to make sure their mama was ok.
“Since when did a muscle spasm care about age Dre? Last time I checked, I’m younger than you anyway.”
He was still trying to laugh on the low while I was holding the heating pad around my thigh.
“Shouldn’t you be home getting ready for your business trip instead of being here making fun of me?”
Dre kneeled down and kissed my cheek. “My bad Tee. If it makes you feel better” he whispered in my ear, “I enjoyed massaging you.”
Before I could respond, I looked at AJ who didn’t seem to like the interaction between me and his daddy. Even though they get along pretty well, AJ made it clear to me that his daddy doesn’t deserve my love anymore. I had to explain to him that his dad will always hold a special place in my heart because he was my first love and their daddy. At one point after we divorced, I did ponder the thought of us working on our relationship and maybe eventually remarry. Receiving that note and picture of Dre and Macy helped me come to grip that in some kind of way, Macy would always be able to drive a wedge in our relationship. He may have stopped messing around with her, but I don’t think I’d ever be able to trust him.
Dre stood up smiling down at me. “Is the cramp subsi ding?”
“Yes. Thanks for the massage, it really helped.”
“Anything for you babe.”
Again, AJ glared at his dad. Dre hadn’t paid it any attention, but I did. I cleared my throat and quickly changed the subject.
“Have you gotten any leads as to who sent the picture and note?”
“No, not yet. I’ve drilled Macy about it but she just says she wasn’t aware anyone was around taking pict ures.”
Just the mention of her name makes my blood boil. But she couldn’t do any more than what Dre allowed. I just shook my head at his answer. “I guess it doesn’t matter anymore. What’s done is done and finding out won’t change the outcome.”
Dre looked like he wanted to say something but refrained. He turned to the trio to let them know he was leaving and that he’d call to check in on us between meetings. Tahlese jumped up in his arms and kissed his cheek.
“I love you daddy.” She said.
“I love you baby girl.”
He then fist bumped the boys and gave them a bro hug letting them know he loves them. They told him they love him as well. AJ walked his dad out as Drew sat on the floor in front of me and Tahlese lifted up my legs so she could sit at the end of the couch. We sat waiting on AJ to come back inside the house. When he walked in, he too sat on the floor in front of me. I knew something was on his mind and I also knew he’d talk to me when he was ready.
Just as Tahlese was about to turn on the television, AJ looked at me. “Mama, I need to tell you something but I don’t want you to be mad wit h me.”
“Whatever is on your mind, you know you can always talk to me. All of you can. You guys know that right?”
They all said yes. AJ led into his conversation.
“Mama I knew daddy was being unfaithful before he even told us. I know where the woman l ives.”
I sat up on the couch, adjusting myself hoping that cramp wouldn’t come back. Drew and Tahlese looked at their brother waiting on him to continue the conversation.
“The girl I used to talk to in high school lives three houses down from that lady. One evening I was at her house when I noticed a truck like daddy’s pull up, but I didn’t think anything about it because it was the night that you and dad were going to hang out. When I left, I noticed the tag. It was him. I wanted to stop but I knew if I did, one of the three of us would have ended up hurt. To be honest, I would have fought dad like I would another guy in the street. I was so mad but I had to get home to you. When I got home, you were gone. I was supposed to be hanging out with my friends later that night, but I couldn’t. Mama I was so angry. When you got home, I knew you had found him. I could tell by the look on your face.”
“Why didn’t you tell me. I wouldn’t have been upset with you.”
“You had been crying and tried to hide it. I didn’t want to make it worse by telling you I’d just seen my cheating father at the other woman’s h ouse.”
AJ told me that no matter how much I love his dad, he doesn’t deserve my heart ever again. The twins sat quietly as their big brother explained why he had so much animosity towards their father. Though he’s forgiven his dad, he’ll never forget the pain Dre’s infidelity caused us. I sat and listened as my babies poured their feelings out to me. I understand that they are still trying to adjust to their parents being divorced and I let them know not to ever hide their feelings from me. I told them I too am still trying to adapt and that I’ll always love their daddy, but I’m ready to recharge the battery to my life. Dre and I will continue to support our children together as well as one another. That I know
