Chapter One

The band Dillonsledge was staying in town tonight because they finally had a much-needed day off. While backstage before the concert, band members Donovan and Derek had invited their favorite fans back to the hotel after the concert. Allison and Madison were full of nerves, but excitement won the battle for a resounding yes. They would soon be spending their first evening with their all-time favorite persons in the world, (except for each other, of course!)
Allison and Madison hurried back to their hotel after the concert to freshen up and prepared for a ‘sleep-over’ with their favorite band members… just in case! They emptied things from their purses they would not need in order to make room for things that might come in handy that night… just in case!
It was an unusually quiet ride to the hotel to see the boys. Allison parked the car and took a long breath before opening her door.
“Are you having doubts about going in?” Madison had gotten out of the car and opened Allison’s door for her.
“Not really, more like fear! I don’t want it to change anything. You and I know we’ll be fine after the fact, no matter what happens… we’ll go back to our ordinary lives, gladly, and then after the concert in Atlanta, we probably won’t see them until the next album comes out. Will the boys still be glad to see us the next time, and the time after that? So many people expect things from them. I don’t want them to think we’re using them, or that we’ll suddenly expect more. I would rather not sleep with Donovan and still be friends, than have a one-night stand and lose what we have now.”
“I’m willing to take that chance! And I know you are too. So come on! Live for ‘right now’ for a change and quit worrying about the future. Because right now, they are up there, and they are waiting… for us!” Madison turned pointing. She was right. They were about to have the chance of a lifetime, the chance to do something not very many people could say they had gotten to do…and she was not going to blow it worrying about what might, or might not happen, or if there would be a next time.
They made their way to the lobby and called up to let the boys know they had arrived. Derek said he would meet them at the back elevators and was already waiting when the girls got there. “It’s about time. What took you so long?”
“Hey! We got here as soon as we could. Turn here, take that hallway there, it’s like a maze in this place.” Madison’s mouth was watering. She swallowed really hard trying to suppress her nerves.
Allison laughed, knowing her best friend was suddenly feeling the same thing she had felt earlier in the car. Derek stuck his key card in the slot and pushed the button for the fourth floor, then turned and gave the girls a big hug, like he was genuinely glad to see them.
When the elevator door opened, Allison hesitated again for just a brief second! Two years following their favorite band… seven concerts total so far, five with their heart light keychains, backstage passes, talking on the phone with Donovan more and more all the time, and now they were going to the boy’s hotel room. Allison could not believe how things had progressed. Never in a million years did she imagine getting to meet them, much less hanging out with them… or sex. Allison’s thoughts were quickly interrupted.
“Hey! Are you coming?” Madison grabbed Allison’s arm. “Come on!” Allison changed her thought process as she entered the somewhat plush hotel room, which wasn’t really any better than the hotel she and Madison had splurged for during their very first concert two years ago. She decided she didn’t have anything to be worried about, after all the boys had invited them. It’s not like they were just hanging out in the lobby or showed up at their door unexpectedly!
Worry was quickly replaced by anxiety when Donovan came out of his room putting his shirt on. His hair was still wet from the shower, and he had that fresh, clean smell; much better than the smell backstage after some of the concerts. He hugged Madison and kissed Allison on the cheek, waving his hand towards the sofa. “Sit down and get comfortable. The pizza should be here shortly.”
Allison sat down on the end of the couch pulling Madison down to the middle beside her; so, Donovan sat in the chair beside the couch on Allison’s side. Derek plopped himself down beside Madison, putting his arm around her on the back of the couch, and his sock covered feet up on the coffee table in front of them.
Without even thinking Madison pushed his feet off the coffee table. “Don’t put your feet up there. That is probably where we are going to put the pizza!”
Donovan was the only one laughing. Everyone else was in shock, including Madison, who could not believe she had just done that! She finally giggled, thinking Allison couldn’t reach him, or she would have done the same thing. Allison laughed at the same time. “I know. I couldn’t reach him!” And to think, the girls were worried about being able to be themselves around the boys when they first started hanging out with them, and now they were slapping them around.
Conversation was typical following a concert, until the front desk called to let them know the bellhop was on his way with their pizza. Donovan grabbed several beers from the fridge. “Does everyone want a beer?”
“Not me, I’m driving.” Allison did not drink very often, and definitely not when she was driving!
Donovan handed two beers to Derek, one for him and one for Madison. He leaned over the couch, whispering in Allison’s ear. “I was kind of hoping you wouldn’t be driving back tonight.” He held the beer out for her to accept. His soft seductive voice tingled in her ear, and the heat from his warm breath sent shivers through her entire body.
Knowing full well what he meant, she reached up and took the beer, teasing. “So, you guys are going to share a room, and give Madi and I the other room tonight?”
Derek perked up. “What?” Madison shook her head, patting Derek’s leg, then rubbing it back and forth, getting a little higher each time. “Don’t worry! She is only kidding. If I am staying here tonight, it won’t be with her!”
Allison had no intention of staying with Madison either. She finished her pizza and her beer, and since the invitation had been given, she was more than ready to officially accept. Allison leaned back, looking straight at Donovan. “Well, I’m extremely tired, and now I can’t drive.”
Donovan almost choked. “And I’m suddenly full!” He stood up, laying the rest of his piece of pizza back in the box, taking Allison by the hand. “I guess we’ll see you guys in the morning.”
Madison turned to Derek. “So how full are you?”
He jumped up right away. “Full enough for now!”
The following morning, they ordered room service and lounged around until the boys had to get ready to leave. They had radio interviews, and commercials to make before heading up the coast. Donovan promised Allison he’d call as much as he could. He acted worse than she did about having to part separate ways, clinging to her, pouting. Allison wasn’t sure, but thought Donovan would have taken her with him to the next concert, if she had wanted to go.
Good thing he didn’t ask, or she would have turned him down. She had a life to get back to, a very ordinary life compared to Donovan’s, but it was hers and at least for the time being, she liked it. Allison and Madison drove back to their hotel to check out. Donovan had already called, saying how much he missed her.
“OMG! What did you do to that boy last night?” Madison teased her, batting her eyes, moving her hand up to her forehead like she was going to pass out.
“So how was your Dillon Sledge concert last night?” As they were putting their bags in the car, a couple they met the day befo
