A Just World
Her tears evaporate before leaving the pools of her eyes.
Darkness has filled the space where the light used to shine.
She is struggling to find peace of mind.
Do you know what that feels like?
She feels just enough to relate to the bird trapped in the cage.
She sings songs of freedom as she dreams of flying away.
Be as it may, she refuses to become a victim of rage.
She disassociates and seeks out the sage.
What’s needed most? Is it a great change?
How can the solutions be so out of range?
We don’t have to agree but we can all get along.
