Note Before You Read
“Fear not for I am with you”
Isaiah 41:10
Love Language
I often ponder this thought.
Is love a language or not?
Like the blood that flows through our veins traveling down through generations,
like the naked chest of a mother to her infant
one of the first forms of communication.
Memories of us often strangle my mind,
And how if we learned this same language so young
without any vice, then why is our interpretation of the other´s
speech is consistently imprecise.
Our entanglement
A caress on the cheek in exchange for words of affection
Words of affection turn into words of indifference
When the lack of the caress on the cheek seems like rejection
¨I Love You¨
Is not enough
Your adoring touch
Is not enough
Yet I have always longed for the ability to empathize with the caress
And while I still hope you long for the ability to feel my words
You continue to remain foreign.
So I will continue my journey on keeping my language separate from your own,
While it shatters every morsel left of me into fragments
Of opaque glass that I have to leave you alone.
A thought I do no longer wish to ponder.

Looking Glass
Your insecurities shine through the cracks of your smile
You put on a persuasive show for many but to me the true message of your act is as visible as looking through glass.
I do not pity you for these weaknesses.
I resent you because you secretly use them to worsen the insecurities of others.
