ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
I’d like to thank our Lord and Savior for allowing me to complete yet another
Book of poetry. To God be the glory for the things He hath done.
I want to thank my four children, Ashaunta, Diondra, Dana and Oliver for
Their continued love and support.
I spent many days in prayer with the Late Brandon Scott as he prepared to
Begin his Damascus Road Ministry, therefore this book has been dedicated to
Him and his legacy. It was truly a privilege and an honor to have witnessed
The joy and peace he received while traveling in prayer on his Damascus
Road journey.
Like Brandon, we too are on our own unique journey as we travel through this
Earthly life. Brandon found peace in accepting his work, “his heavy load” down
Damascus Road. Walk with me now as you turn through the pages of this
Book and hopefully you will experience that same joy and peace.
Rest in peace Brandon for your work was not in vain.
Yours in Christ,
Ingrid Green

INTRODUCTION
We are all just pilgrims traveling through this barren land trying to get to
Our eternal home with the Lord. As some may say living this thing called
Life is but a journey. Yes, a journey of ups and downs, successes, failures,
Good times as well as bad times. It’s all there, yes in all of our lives some
Rain must fall but don’t get dismayed when the rain falls because it’s what
We do after the rain falls that makes the difference. Do we throw our hands
In the air and just give up? Do we pause for a moment to put things in
Perspective and ask the Lord to help us? Brandon chose to seek help from
The Lord. As you travel through life what choices will you make along your
Journey? It is my hope that the poetry in this book will serve as words of
Inspiration to assist you in your decision making.
Life can be an overwhelming experience, so I’ve been told,
so stay focused on God and you’ll find healing for the soul.
Be blessed along your journey,
Ingrid Green

TRIBUTE TO THE DAMASCUS ROAD MINISTRY: IN MEMORY OF THE LATE BRANDON SCOTT
Although you were asked to carry a heavy load,
You accepted the task on the Damascus Road,
And carried it while wondering how this came to be,
Always with such a great sense of urgency,
As many would pass along your way,
You asked the Lord just what to say,
Never refusing this mighty task it’s true,
Stayed in prayer till your work was through,
Yes, you carried that load till the bitter end,
Your Damascus Road ministry will live on my friend,
You accepted a life of sacrifice while on that road,
When you decided to accept that heavy load,
Your work is finished so go on and take your rest,
We’ll cherish your memory for God knows what’s best!

SECTION ONE
In The Beginning

In The Beginning
The Damascus Road Ministry started as a result of much fasting and praying by its founder,
The Late Brandon Scott. Brandon worked tirelessly trying to get his message across to his
Beloved followers. He was well versed in Scripture and a devoted Christian.
He found peace within his spirit when he accepted the task to start the Damascus Road
Ministry.
Upon accepting this huge task, Brandon put his heart, soul and mind into spreading this
Peace he had received from the Lord. It was his thinking that through his prayers and his
Walk through life that his followers would finally “see the light” as Paul did on his journey.
Thus, Brandon’s ministry became known as the Damascus Road Ministry.
I’m hoping my readers will join me in acknowledging the peace he was blessed to share
with us prior to his passing by understanding we too must take up our cross daily to find
our own inner peace. We must admit we are all just pilgrims traveling through this barren
land. Brandon found his peace and made his choice to start his ministry to help others.
What are your thoughts now as you continue to travel on your journey through life?
You must learn to make every day count by helping others and becoming more “Christ like”.
Learn to walk in faith as you take your first step on your new journey. Keep going till that
Light shines brightly in your face as it did when Paul was on his journey. How will you react
To the light? Will you acknowledge God’s calling, or will you simply ignore it and walk away?
The choice is totally up to you. Brandon Scott chose to acknowledge that light and it made all
The difference in his remaining days on this earth. Find your peace that surpasses all
Understanding, it’s there waiting for you.
Be Blessed,
Ingrid Green

Come Holy Spirit
Come Holy Spirit fill this place today,
May all we do and think and say,
Be pleasing and acceptable in your sight.
Please keep us focused as I continue to write,
The good works you have instilled in me,
To spread your love, your hope and ministry,
To every woman, man, boy and girl,
May my writing help save this sin sick world.
May the work I started with pen in hand,
Draw us nearer to Thee across this land.
Close your eyes now and what do you see?
It’s my hope that one day eventually,
There will be peace and true harmony,
Until that day Lord please stay with me,
And all of us here present today,
Come Holy Spirit come what may.
I can feel the Spirit coming over me
Lord can my writing change what folks say, think and see?
In hopes that all mankind will know,
That you are indeed God and rightly so,
You are worthy of all glory honor and praise,
From the beginning of time through the rest of our days.
Come Holy Spirit fill this place today,
May my writing keep folks united for this I pray,
