Description

Hope Won’t Let Go, written by first-time author, Sharon B. Scott, is a collection of inspirational verses and quotes designed to promote encouragement, reassurance, and a revitalized hope, especially among readers who may have been plagued with seasons of despair.
The work is divided into five segments inclusive of the following:
• Designed to Inspire
• The Nature of Things
• A Heartfelt Tribute to the African-American Heritage
• Passing Thoughts…That Were Worth Hanging Onto
• A Proclamation and a Praise!
An obvious thread running through the pages of Hope Won’t Let Go is that of promoting a sustained hope in the midst of life’s many challenges. Through this introductory project, the author’s aim is to reach a wide range of audiences and to instill in them a rejuvenated excitement regarding their own dreams and aspirations. It is the author’s prayer that after engaging with this work, readers will be encouraged and inspired to rediscover and maintain a lively hope that refuses to let go.

~ Author’s Profile ~

First time author, Sharon B. Scott, is a native of Rocky Mount, NC, and now resides in Lawrenceville, Ga. Although Hope Won’t Let Go is her debut book release, she has collected writings over time and has included several of them in this project.
As a minister of God’s Word and an Elder in the church, Sharon is a gifted speaker and teacher who seeks to extract pressing truths from the Scriptures for the edification of the Body of Christ. She attends Voices of Faith East in Lawrenceville, Georgia, and credits this ministry with promoting her dedication to prayer and study of the Word. She also remains ever grateful to Truth Tabernacle Ministries in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, for providing her with a wide variety of rich and rewarding ministerial opportunities, and for laying the strong spiritual foundation on which she continues to stand.
Holding a BA Degree in Speech Communication and Theater Arts, along with a Master’s Degree in Middle Grades Education, Sharon has taught in the secular realm for over 20 years. In addition to her role as a teacher, she also has a background in theater and has performed in such stage plays as “A Raisin in the Sun”, “Our Town”, “Having Our Say: The Delaney Sisters’ First 100 Years”, and “Purlie.”
Sharon is married to Mr. Tony Scott, and they are the proud parents of one son, Kevin, a granddaughter, E’veah, and an adopted granddaughter, Chloe. At the publishing of this book, they are anticipating the arrival of a new grandson, and they extend Loving Congratulations to Kevin and Erica on the coming birth of William Mackenzie Scott!
Sharon’s hope for her readers, particularly those who may have been plagued by a season of despair, is that they will experience a rejuvenated excitement regarding their dreams and aspirations and discover a renewed hope as they engage with the verses and quotes presented in Hope Won’t Le t Go .

~ Surprise! Surprise! ~
A few years ago, following a morning church service, a gentleman, whom I didn’t know, approached me and uttered three words: “Write that book.” While I must admit that this was a startling declaration (because it came from a total stranger) it was, at the same time, not a shocking one.
I’ve known for quite a while that producing a book was something I had the potential to do and might eventually do… someday.
