Description

Introducing a collection of poetry that speaks to the soul of anyone who has ever lived, loved, lost and looked back.
Written by stand up comedian Warren B. Hall, this book answers the often asked questions: “Are you always funny, are you always in a good mood?”
Whether you are looking to see someone who doesn’t have all the answers or you’re simply just trying to connect…read this book.
20 years in the making and almost every piece is dated at the bottom so you can know WHEN the author felt how he felt.
Now take a deep breath, open the cover, and be willing and honest enough to see yourself on some of these pages.

Mini Emotions
This is my life…I travel the land…
Forget about wearing my heart on my sleeve, because I carry mine in my hand.

And you see it when I greet you.
When you shake my hand you firmly squeeze my heart.
And that’s the beginning. That right there is the start.

The start of a mini relationship…sometimes a mini emotional roller-coaster.
We’ve spent very little time together but when I leave your town it’s like we’ve bonded, it’s like we’re closer.

I’ve met strangers and felt like we’ve been friends for years.
In a weekends time, we’ve shared happy thoughts…sometimes tears.

A mini emotional roller coaster. Just like the ride with ups and downs…
I’ve done this quite a number of times because I’ve driven through quite a number of towns.

We exchanged numbers and I promised to call.
You call me the comedian…
You call me the comic, or “the funny guy”…
It’s like my title has replaced my name and I’m not sure I know why.

The real funny thing is that some people call me “Mr. Popular”.
They think everybody loves me.

They don’t realize the reason I carry my heart in my hand is because…
Well…most of the time I’m lonely.

Over and over again I suffer from “temporary” popularity.

Sometimes I feel like I work the graveyard shift at the graveyard!
That’s few perks and no promotions.

This is my life, writing comedy one minute and the next…
I’m writing about mini emotions.
Dreams
Have you ever dreamed a dream so real, you woke up feeling, not quite right?
I have dreamed that dream recently, actually I dreamed that very dream last night.

It was strange…

I dreamed I was a king with no kingdom.
A leader of man, with no men.

And then…

I dreamed I was an angry God, upset at my worshippers, so the world I shook.
Un-appeased by their sacrifices, so the lives of their wives and children I took.

In that dream I had no remorse.
I felt content.

I’m not sure what that means.

Just a dream?

Enjoyed
You have no idea how much I enjoyed just holding your hand...
Or how good I felt when you lied at the bar, and told that other guy that “I” was your man.

In school I never liked to learn, but last weekend I enjoyed learning your ticklish spots.
Your hip, your thigh and how sometimes you don’t really mean it when you laugh and then whisper “Stop”…

I also learned about “Brazilian cut”…
And you know what?…(that was hott!)

I don’t know what you see when you look at me but I hope you continue to see it.

Forget Tomorrow
Too often I worry about tomorrow and tomorrow’s sorrows.

So now I believe: DON’T WORRY until it’s time to worry.
I say forget about the judge AND the jury.
