~I never would’ve seen this coming,

I could’ve sworn that things were going just fine,

She felt the need to have me take a seat,

She’s really got me wondering what is on her mind.

Now I’m sitting here looking at her face,

I see some tears begin to fall down her cheeks.

I’m wondering why in the world she’s in this state,

What she had to tell me next made me disgraced.

She proceeded to tell me that something was wrong,

She said that she just didn’t feel the

same way that she used to feel.

She told me that the fire that

burned inside her had gone,

And that she just felt that she could not move on.

Now the tears begin to roll down my face,

Because I now know that the end is near.

She says that she still loves me and we

should still remain as friends,

With every word she speaks, my heart

breaks with every one of my tears.

I can’t believe this girl has done this to me,

She just cut me off from what I

thought was a real, good love.

How in the world did we ever come to this?

I thought that I gave her pure, unconditional love.

Now I’ve lost all feeling inside of me,

Her sudden departure has made me feel all numb.
I never once suspected those words to come from her lips,

I don’t know if I can go on in life without her being

with me.

She said that I was perfect,

Told me that it wasn’t me.

Said that I did nothing wrong,

Yet still she wants to leave me.

All the things I did for her,

All the love I gave to her.

How much in love I was with thee,

Now it’s all obsolete.

If I was as perfect as you make me seem,

Then you would keep fighting to be with me.

I have now fallen from aloft,

I’ll keep falling until I drop,

Hell no my landing won’t be soft,

Now that I’ve been cut off.

I once was found, but now I’m lost,

I guess I have to pay the cost,

To not have a win, but instead a loss,

It’s because I’m a gentleman and not a boss.

Why would you let me go?

If you say you love me so?

Stay with me and let me know,

Make me high not bring me low.

What am I left to do?

When I’m still in love with you?

Even still this subject to me is real soft,

Because it’s hard to have a good love be cut off.
A Lover’s Resurrection

~Allow me to let loose and get some things off my chest,

Never mind me, for it is thee that deserves the best,

It’s not about me, and it never, ever will be,

My only worry, my only concern is your well being,

You can call it tunnel vision, for it’s only you that I see,

I have but one addiction, you’re all that I need,

To take you high into the mountains and to lay out near the

water and on the sand,
