Liem's previous poetry collection, Obits., also from Coach House, was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award and won the 2019 Gerald Lampert Memorial Award from the League of Canadian Poets.

While only their debut collection, Obits. remains one of the most influential recent books of Canadian poetry with several young poets citing it as meaningful to them.
