Lady in the tall tee,
What is it that you see in me?
How could I be so right to lay next to you as these nights pass?
Mesmerized and edified by all the things that make you, you.
 
In a most comfortable love we sit,
Lady in the tall tee.
Or else I’d never get to see you in this form,
Fully bare and beautiful.
Covered in flows of grace that chain me to your every footstep.
 
Lady in the tall tee,
You walking away from me could be the best or worst moment of my days.
Whether I get to follow figures the fire,
My obsession like kerosene.
Attraction, the match.
I wish to pour into the way you burn — passionately.
 
Lady in the tall tee,
In your heat I crack and split open for your love.
My black Damascus heart is charred a brittle blue.
With a green throat I question lest,
 
Did she really love me?
DEAR DISAPPOINTMENT.

 
Dear disappointment,
Maybe I should listen to you.
I figured you’re trying to teach me that to be free means to be less intentional.
Although I feel restricted by empathy, I know what you mean.
Dear disappointment,
I live in the world of greed,
Some outright and some subconscious.
I fear sometimes I know too many of the latter,
But I continue anyway, hoping, praying you won’t stand in to watch the next sacrifice of myself.
Dear disappointment,
You are a gun ,
Your mere presence preys on the faint of mind.
But I know you make no mistakes.
A COMPLICATED UNDERSTANDING.

 
A complicated understanding….
Huh, can you believe that?
A beautiful waste of time I can’t wait to indulge in.
No pressure to love but you color my fancy.
A gradient of pink and red washes over me, draped I sit in elaborate fashions of infatuation.
 
I’ve heard once before that things understood could stand without definition.
Sensing this foundation is feeble, injected with cracks of confusion
I hope we can just gloss over those.
 
All we have left are these moments.
A pair of fortnights to mean nothing,
A pair more to question what it all meant anyway…
Can you believe that?
TOMORROW IS ATTAINABLE AT THE COST OF YESTERDAY.

 
Kings who are at war with themselves drag their kingdoms through the mud of their demise.
It’s dangerous to navigate anger without aim, only to revel in and succumb to that world;
it must have its enemy.
It must have
confusion & disorder.
It prods at the chaos within us all!
 
It flees with grace like a flower leaving remnants of pollen on its once lover,
the mark of the beast being cascades of olive and navy.
 
The last pieces of who I once was;
Pieces I beg for forgiveness,
Clinging onto: Driving me to froth at the mouth,
are the same pieces I considered more than a kingdom.
As comforting as a home.
 
Through a fortnight felt,
I became an outcast to that lukewarm way of thinking in a
