CHAPTER 1

Finally the day had come. I just finished out a state bid. Another year away from the world was hard as hell, but all I could think about was getting back to my girl. Her name was Aisha but the streets knew her as Udding. We been together for five years and this last year she held a nigga down. We met when I was trapping on Saratoga St. I saw her walking by and just knew I had to make her mine. My baby is 5’6, brown skin, with thick thighs and a really cute face. She’s 37 but don’t look a day over 26 years old.
I pulled up in front of our apartment building on Wilson street. I didn’t tell her I was coming home because I wanted it to be a surprise. I could see her from up the street. She wore a pair of tight pants and she had a switch that could stop any car. I love a woman with a nice ass and that thing she had was a real nice one.
“How much?” I asked the cab driver as he was putting it in park.
“8.27.” I gave him a ten
“Keep the change.”
“Thanks.” I hopped out without saying another word because I had Udding in my sights and she was looking finer than ever.
“Hello Chocolate” She heard my voice and whipped around in my direction. A huge smile spread across her face.
“What are you doing home? I swore you had another week.”
“Man they let me out a lil early on good behavior.” I said with a wink. It was like her feet were frozen from the shock, so I made my way over to her. When I got close enough she jumped into my arms. Her body felt so good I didn’t want to let her go. When I put her down she stepped back and looked me up and down.
“How are you?” I asked her.
“I’m fine.” I bit my lip and looked her up and down with nothing but lust in my eyes.
“That you are.”
“You better stop it.” She blushed
“Nah, now let me have a kiss, with them big ass soup coolin lips?” I leaned in and I felt electricity pulsing through me from the touch of her soft lips.
“Mmm, what you been eating with your black ass?”
“Jolly Jo’s, you know I stay with the sweets.” That was my favorite candy
“You always taste good.”
“I bet you taste better!” Udding blushed and then grabbed me by the hand leading me to our place.
Walking into our apartment looked like a whole new spot. Udding busied herself neatening up the living room like we didn’t live together before I went away. She changed a lot about the place. New furniture and a few new paintings on the wall to match the decor. She even had a coffee table with little statues holding up the glass.
“Babe the place looks nice.”
“Thank you.” She looks to the back of the apartment and yells,” Mell have you found them school papers?”
“No” He answers back as he turns the corner to see me. Mell was one of her sister’s kids from Brooklyn. She sent for him a couple years back because he was giving his mom a hard time. Udding was tough and Mel was only 16 at the time so she stayed on his ass about everything. I have to admit from what I know he was doing good and in his last year of highschool.
“Oh shit! What up Dread?”
“What’s good Mel?” We slapped each other up. Looking at him and how much he had grown made me feel like I had been gone for an eternity. I’m guessing I looked different too because he made sure he said something.
“You sure look different.”
“How so?”
“Yo shit looking like the Tick.Ya upper body mad big.” I had to laugh at that one. This boy always had a joke.
“Yo ass crazy. Yo, you and that girl Babe still seeing each other?”
“We link up sometimes.”
Before we could get into a real conversation Udding cut us off. “Ya’ll can take a walk down memory lane later but me and Dread got to have a serious talk. So come on?” I gave Mel a nod and then followed her to our bedroom.
“What serious talk we gotta have?’’ I asked her playfully as I closed our room door. I turned around to see her with no shirt on. Her titties were sitting on her chest like two ripe coconuts. “Damn I guess we have 2 serious conversations.” I pushed her on the bed and let my mouth do the talking. I commenced to give her a year’s worth of the best dick and as they say I got my shit out the sand.
I woke up the next morning with a mission on my mind. I got up, got dressed and put on my north face coat. I grabbed my 9 shot 22, which is the only thing I had left from before I went away. It was type cold when I made it outside so I zipped my coat all the way and pulled my hat lower over my ears. I walked a few blocks up Wilson street until I got to Hudson I bent that corner and crossed over to Upperfalls blvd.
As soon as I stepped on the curb I saw my boy Cool P. I knew him from the west side of town. I used to push dope out of his sister’s place. Seeing him made me remember how wild shit used to be.
‘I was outside his sister’s house one night talking with one of my boys on Lloyd street and a police car came around the corner. As soon as the car stopped and the doors swung open. I already knew what that meant. They were looking for someone and me and my boy probably fit the description. I wasn’t standing around waiting to find out so, I ran in the building. My man could not do nothing but stand there and look dumb so they caught his ass. I ran up two floors of stairs and quickly crept in his sister house. I locked the door and took off everything but my boxers. I hopped in the bed with her and her daughter just in case popo wanted to bust in the door. I damn sure wasn’t gonna have them catch me hiding in a closet or no shit like that. The Police walked through the building knocking on all the doors and I could see them flashing their light from the street. I bet they were looking for shadows but they weren’t gonna find none if they were looking for me cause I got ghost on they ass.’ The sound of P calling my name brought me out of my day dream.
“KB what up my nigga! Where you coming from?”
“Wilson street and you?” I said as we slapped each other up.
“Just coming from seeing my sister. She be asking about you all the time.”
We both start smiling cause his sister always had a thing for me but he knew I would never cross that line cause of our friendship. “Your ass is crazy for bringing that up.” He shrugged his shoulders.
“Yo I heard you went upstate! You just got out?”
“Yeah! I’m just chilling. But listen P I got to keep it pushing.” we slap each other up again.
“You got your phone on you?”
“Hell nah I didn’t get one yet but I know where to find you. One.” I keep it moving down the block cause I had a few stops to make. I reach in my pocket and pull out now and later. No matter how hot or cold it was, everyone knew I stayed with some candy. I called them street treats. If I was around and someone’s breath was hot, I’d tell them to pop one of my treats to help them out. They were like a tic tac to me.
I didn’t even walk another block before I saw this girl named Muff from around the way.
“Hi Killa!” she called from the corner.
“What up Muff.”
“Nothing much, how you been?”
“Vacation.” I tried to say it like it wasn’t a lie.
“Yeah right.” she sucks her teeth. “There’s only two reasons you would be missing in action. Out of town or in jail. So which is it?” She had a smart mouth and a bad ass body. I looked her up and changed the subject instead of answering her.
“Where your fast walking ass going anyways?”
“Why?” she asked with a playful attitude. I didn’t pay that shit no mind and kept talking.
“You still sexy to me, even doe you won’t let me hit that thang,. You know that right?” she started to blush
“Whatever nigga” she said rolling her eyes as she walked off.
“I will see you later sweetheart” I call out as I watch her walk in the direction I just came from. I walk past Mark st. as I reach my pop’s house. Seeing my pop was my first stop after Udding of course. I knocked on the door and then look up and down the street as I waited for an answer. I always had to watch my back at all times inside and that feeling followed me into the free world.
“Who is it?” My pops yells from the other side of the door.
“Your son!”
“Which one, I have a few?”
“The only one you love to see.”
“Ha-ha” I heard him laugh as he opened the door.
“You is as crazy as me when I was in my mid twenties!”
“Man I’m not crazy I just tell the truth. Who you got in there?” I asked peaking around him.
“What?! Nobody! You look good though boy.” My pops steps out of the house making
