I wrote this to shed light on the ongoing issues that we face as a society and community i felt that this short story would encourage us to take a deeper look inside ones psyche there has been an uboundance of school shootings hopefully we could be more attentive to the problem we face and maybe be able to prevent these horrible tragedies.
Ricky!!!..... Ricky!!!.its almost seven dont be late. Alright ma im bout to leave now. I woke up on time for school, got dressed and ate breakfast. Ricky! Don’t make me call you again! I’m up, I heard you mom. It’s my first day of my freshman year at Martin Luther high. I’m really not too hyped for this. As I was reaching for a shirt to wear I looked over and noticed my phone was ringing. It was my friend zack youre morning sucked. Yup howd you guess. just figured if its anything like mines. hey you checked the schedules yet. naw not yet. Ricky!!! What the heck. gotta go catch up with you later my moms bout to pop a blood vessel later man. Dont take to long ricky your gonna be late. Ok. and take that trash out on youre way out the door yes mom on my way to the bus stop seen a kid I’ve never seen before i could tell hes a new face this is a pretty small town as I was approaching the bus stop i over heard him ask a question.
