Description

The law enforcement officials did not discover that all of their charges had flown the coop until after seven o'clock that first evening they were at sea. That was when the deputies shift was over and two other deputies came to relieve them. They had taken over the boat house and were using it as their base of operation. Once it was determined that the only ones in the house was the deputies, they called the FBI's local office, and the Feds were there within the hour demanding to know what happened.

Introduction by A. G. Harrison

Introduction

From the time human felt the necessity to communicate, he realized the value of the written word and wrote by drawing on cave walls, clay tablets, stones, papyrus, parchment, paper, and today, with the development of technology, he has created e-books.

The object "book" is classified in industrial products, but at the same time it is a cultural good. Personally, I emphasize both of its dimensions, but mainly in its cultural dimension. I consider the book to be the most important expression of culture because quite simply, in addition to being the same work of art, it supports all other expressions of culture.

As an industrial product, through the many stages of its creation and before it reaches the hands of the reader, it financially supports a wide range of professions, such as writers, philologists, translators, designers, publishers, paper merchants, printing houses, bookbinders, distributors and, finally, bookstores… Let us not forget, of course, that today it also greatly supports the huge online market industry.

The governments of many countries, studying and delving into the economic benefits of the book, have invested and supported this industry in various ways, which flourished and offered them great financial gains.

Starting with the Sumerians, Babylonians and other peoples of Mesopotamia, who wrote on clay tablets, Egyptians and Romans, who wrote on papyrus, the Jews on parchment, the evolution with handwritten books images in the Middle Ages in Europe, the creation of the first wooden typographic elements and paper by the Chinese, who printed the first books, the discovery of metallic elements by the German Johannes Gutenberg during the Renaissance and the really rapid development of printing in 1450 until 1456 and, finally, during the 19th-20th century the Industrial Revolution, which makes the production of the book flourish are some examples of the value of the written word.

The agony and effort of all these civilized societies, over time, in various parts of the world, teaches us that the book is an integral part of human existence.

Throughout this course the book records and transports from the depths of the centuries ancient civilizations, which teach us about the mistakes that we can avoid or imitate the achievements of our ancestors and adopt timeless principles and values, supplies for survival. but also the evolution of the human species.

By reading a book, we have the opportunity to create with our imagination the heroes of history, landscapes, various objects, etc. In the pages of a book, the author, in addition to his study, research, experiences, also expresses his feelings. He makes us members of his own world and gives us the opportunity to learn.

It helps us to acquire knowledge but also to enrich our vocabulary, improving our own writing.

It contributes to our mental alertness, increases the ability to focus, improves our memory, helps to develop our analytical mental abilities, entertains us, calms us down and helps reduce stress.

Of course, apart from the importance of touch and contact with a hot material, reading a quality book contributes significantly and decisively to our self-education, the cultivation of critical thinking, the upgrading of our aesthetics and consequently contributes to our quality of life.

It conveys art, informs, cultivates the spirit and the soul, elevates intelligence, finds solutions to problems, conveys messages, circulates ideas, forms consciences.

I hope my books convey a message of personal experiences and you could find segments of your own truth as well.

Thank you in advance for being here and being ready to start reading.
Chapter One

The day before his brother was to be laid to rest, Uncle had a remarkably interesting meeting with the Navy. They demanded the autopsy report and they also wanted to know where the survivors were, but they got neither, at least not from him. Uncle was not the sort of man who could be bamboozled by anyone, especially anyone connected with the government.

His next visit, an hour later, was from the FBI and like the Navy they wanted to know the location of the VP’s daughter and a Major in the USAF, and just like the Navy they got nothing. Even after several different sorts of threats by the agents who came to see him, Uncle stood his ground and sited the First Amendment to them instead, in fact he recited it almost verbatim. They left in disgust but promised they would be back with a warrant for his arrest. He was not worried for now he was in the spotlight and it shined far too brightly for them to screw up by doing something like arresting him for some chicken-shit, trumped-up, reason. He figured that if they would have been on their toes in the first place his brother might still be alive, or at least they would have his killer behind bars by now.

Both Jal and Sami were armed to the teeth with the same types of weapons, while Raja carried a Mack 10 with a long wicked looking suppresser on it. Besides the pack on her back, she also had ten loaded magazines handy and several grenades hanging on her bandoleer. The two men carried a little heavier armament, each man had two 10mm machine pistols for close in fighting and in their hands, they carried 12-gage autoloader shotguns loaded with double ought rounds. They had backpacks too and all three had the sort of light flak jackets that the police usually wore under their shirts. To compliment this ensemble, they had knives tucked in the web belts that hung around their waist.

Sami also carried a bolt cutter to give them access through any fences and to destroy any locks that may bar their progress. Raja’s job was to lead this small force into the house. If any guards were met, it would be up to her to dispatch them as quickly and quietly as possible.

They waited until four-thirty in the morning, it was just turning light and a slight mist covered the ground. Before they could cut their way through the chain-link fence that separated Lonnie’s property from the rest of the world, two guards came into view which Raja quickly killed using her Mack 10. Once through the fence, they stayed near the huge fir and cedar trees as they made their way up to the house. When two more guards came into view Raja took them out as well. So far, the only sounds heard were the ones coming from the muzzle of Raja’s suppressor and those guards hitting the ground, dead.

Using the personnel door into the garage they made their way inside the residence. Once there, the men took over point as they entered the house itself. There was a maid in the kitchen making coffee so Jal cut her throat with his knife and silently dropped her to the floor .

“How many more guards are left outside,” Jal asked in Arabic. He knew, but he wanted his team to be aware of them as well.

“Three are left on this shift and the shift change isn’t until seven so we have plenty of time,” Sami responded in the same language. Both men were talking in very hushed tones, so low that Raja had to come nearer to them to hear what was being said.

“Raja, the outside guards are yours. We will continue with our mission in here,” Jal ordered as the two men spread out and moved into the dining room while Raja went back out the door they had just came through.

Apparently, the maid in the kitchen was the only one stirring this early in the morning, so when the men found the jet’s flight boxes in the den, they quickly put one into each of their backpacks. With their mission more or less accomplished, Jal sent Sami outside to assist Raja in case she needed any help with the guards. Since most company guards were nothing more than civilians with guns, they were usually not that well trained in combat, especially not the hand-to-hand sort of warfare that Jal’s team brought with them.
