Without even realizing it, the German professor Lidenbrock purchases his ticket to the center of the Earth. He finds an original runic manuscript which unfolds a long kept secret. The center of the Earth lies at the bottom of an Icelandic volcano. The obvious choice is to embark on a journey down the volcano and make the biggest discovery of all times.
