Night Seasons is a book based on Scripture. It has now been 17 years since the publication of the first novel in The Chronicles of The Fruit Thereof. This second chronicle is not for the lighthearted; however, upon reading it, you will be surprised how God’s mysteries begin to be revealed. Retep Sesom and his fellow-believers of God have been quite busy, attempting to alert the world about the birth pangs that have been occurring all throughout the world populous. In sum, “…Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, …. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:13-14, Bible)

CHAPTER 1

(WHAT’S IN A NAME?)
Retep now began to question his very own ancestry. Was he really who he thought he was? Did he need to research his roots? He immediately went to his personal storage vault in order to review some of his personal information. Retep now began to question his very own ancestry. He quickly thumbed through his papers of personally identifiable information, looking for his birth certificate. He found a copy. There was a gold seal on the birth certificate, signatures of medical doctors at the bottom, his date of birth, and an ink copy of his hand and foot prints. It was issued from the hospital of his birth, along with the State of Michigan, Bureau of Census and Live Births documentation.
This was the first opportunity that Retep had ever taken any time to closely scrutinize his birth certificate. He pondered this and realized that he had truly overlooked one of the most profound discoveries of his life. Why had he overlooked what he was about to discover? His attention was then directed to the name typed on the certificate. It read as follows: Retep D. A. Sesom. He was now totally baffled.
He realized for a number of years that his first and last names were extremely atypical in comparison with those of others. However, now he learned that he had been assigned not three names at birth but four. Why? Retep’s parents had given him four names. He was bound and determined to ascertain the rationale behind this query. He thought on how best he might gain some answers as to his two names represented by his two middle initials. He went to his “tele-jet” and typed in the essential data entry, that is, the name of the Michigan hospital, the correct records department, and a data/archival retrieval number. The number listed was as follows: 676767.
Retep typed in the following message: Message Initiated: 676767, MI hospital, date of birth on 05.10.50, 1:00 A.M., Mrs. David Sesom (Mother’s maiden name @ Hurt), birth name of Retep D.A. Sesom. Query: Need to know the names for which the middle initials (D. and A.) represent and the cost of this transaction. End of message. Retep [e-mail] .
Retep’s response required less than one minute. The invention of the Tele-jet was in response to the heavy demand for instant information in the 21 st Century. People not only desired information but wanted such with lightning speed and accuracy. If a return message from the Tele-jet Corporation took more than five minutes, such was considered by the public as a waste of time and a poor medium of information exchange. The cost of retrieval of this information queried by the populace was measured via the mark of commodity and the medium of exchange.
Response to Message —Data retrieved via descriptors identified. No information available regarding the representation of your middle initials. Parents refused to provide MI hospital with information. Cost of this transition @ a mark of 50 units of debit. MI hospital, Bureau of Census and Live Births, @ 676767.
Retep was left with only one resolve. He needed to communicate with his parents. He went to his communication module and spoke the code numbers aloud. The code was quickly activated and sounded at his parents’ residence. A written message spread across the written commentary window. Hello, you have reached the following number and letter sequence: 781-315-006-RQZ. Sorry, we are not at home at this time. Please leave us a short transmission and we will return your correspondence upon our return. Stay safe.
Retep left the following transmission: “Hello, Mom and Dad! I need to see both of your persons as soon as possible. I hope all is well. This transmission is of the utmost importance. I need to procure some very important information. You are the only two people who know this personally identifiable data. I look forward to our discussion regarding this information. I love you both very, very much, Retep.”
Mr. and Mrs. David Sesom were just pulling in their driveway when Retep was completing his oral transmission. As soon as Mrs. Sesom entered her underground passageway and opened the door, the communication module sounded Retep’s prior auditory message. Mrs. Sesom placed her packages on the foyer bench. Mr. Sesom entered the door and asked if Ruth she had received any transmissions that required his attention?
David, we received a call from Retep. His voice sounded a little stressed.
Did you activate the voice emotion indicator on the module?
No, I did not.
I need to hear his transmission. Please activate the module replay and print out a voice-picto-illustration/graph!
The Voice-Picto-Illustrator/Graph was a new piece of verbal-visual technology developed and marketed by Auditions Incorporated Technologies. Such a system was requested and demanded by numerous home owners, those home owners who conducted business enterprises while away from the office. The voice-picto-Illustrator/graph was used to detect the level of stress/emotion of the customer/person while engaged in modular transmission communication. This device was activated by the owner of the technology during any message of oral/written discourse. No matter how the conversation or discussion transpired, a voice-picto-illustrator/graph was always available for review by the owner of the said system.
The technology device printed on a piece of graph paper. The lines making up the graph went in two directions, horizontal and vertical. The numbers on the graph went from 6 to 94, in both directions. Audition Incorporated Technologies analysts stated that people who registered numerals 1-5 and 95-100 were simply off the chart. In other words, these analysts stated that people registering from 1-5 and/or 95-100 were respectively so far off the charts, that is, so depressed or so overly manic, that medical attention was highly recommended.
The other amazing fact about this piece of technology was that it could assimilate the horizontal and vertical lines on the graph and draw an illustration of one’s face, based and compiled by the highs and lows of the said technology. The person’s face on the voice-picto-illustrator/graph was a template, male or female gender. Being able to amass this type of data made available via this device was seen by people in one of two ways—as a blessing, or a curse.
David Sesom activated this technology immediately. His son’s graph and illustrations were quite revealing.
(Mrs. Sesom knew and loved her son deeply. She was able to discern her son’s level of emotion and concern without the aid of sophisticated auditory or visual technology.)
