Description

The Cy-Soldier is the story of a young United States soldier, Samuel "Slate" Steele, who is critically injured by a terrorist bomb while serving as a pilot and soldier in a Black Ops team in the Middle East. He is immediately airlifted to a military hospital, where he is stabilized and sent to a secret hospital in Germany. At that hospital, located deep underground, and using advanced medical technology, the United States military has his arms, legs, ear canals, and eyes successfully replaced with electronics and steel. After a very successful recovery, the young man serves for several more years; then he tries to retire and marry his childhood sweetheart back in his hometown. But this does not work out.Deeply saddened, Slate starts roaming the North American continent, trying to forget the last image of her blue eyes staring into his eyes. One day, while camping in the far western United States, the young man happens to see a UFO land on a high mesa. This leads Slate to a string of far-out adventures. His life path eventually leads him from Earth to fantastic exploits out among the stars, journeying through the planets of the Interstellar Condominium of Planets and Empire (ICOPE), meeting and dealing with Reptiloids, Insectoids, Snakoids, and even other Humanoids and Colloid Cloud beings.

Dedication
This book is respectfully dedicated to the millions of military veterans and those men and women presently serving in the Armed Forces of the United States of America! It is especially dedicated to one very special United States Air Force veteran who faithfully served our nation. ‘Name: Larry Snyder of Huntsville, Texas’ (the “Secretary of the Air Force” in one of my books!) since our country’s founding; without the valor and total commitment to duty by the men and women serving in our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and our other “Armed Forces,” during peace time; the “Cold War”; and the wars necessary to literally protect the whole world; our very blessed country; our basic freedoms; and the customs and traditions that we take for granted; would have long ago ceased to exist; being replaced by tyranny!

Prologue
One of the most technically advanced planetary empires, populated mostly by one of the “Hunan” subspecies of the “Reptiloid” race of sentient beings, is situated in the Cletorian System (which has been give various nicknames such as “The R System,” the “Worlds of Continuous Thunder,” or “Thunder Alley”). Its population is situated mainly on three large and unique planets; Reptilon, Reptilee, and Reptilus; the last planet being named after the wise and powerful Reptiloid being, who ultimately united the system under one government. These three planets are officially called the “Thunder Worlds;” for good reason! The entire surfaces of all three planets are crisscrossed almost daily with violent thunder storms, which produce extremely intense cloud-to-ground lightning, so-called “Red Sprites,” and cloud-to-space bolts called “Blue Jets.” Every so often, there are strange ground-to-cloud emerald-colored lightning flashes called “Green Bolts!” All these electric bolts literally crashing up, down, and around the environment of the Thunder Worlds, make the surfaces of the planets very dangerous to beings that are not resistant to lightning strikes; as all of the “Reptiloid Species” of beings native to the planets are! But, in addition, the “Blue Jets” darting upward through the atmosphere of each of the Thunder Worlds are very dangerous to an unprotected spacecraft entering or leaving the planet and satellites in low orbit!
About a thousand years ago, a system-wide civil war culminated in the total, and extremely difficult, unification of all the planets in the solar system; with the huge Reptiloid named “Reptilus” being the first of a line of many competent reptile rulers to be crowned absolute monarch of the solar system! When Reptilus died during a traditional “Succession Duel,” after a very successful, wise reign of several hundred years, he was buried with full military honors with literally the entire population of the United Planets of the Thunder Worlds in attendance or watching or listening by electronic media! Then, by full agreement of the King’s Counsel of Advisers and the permission of the entire “Egg Line Family” of Reptilus, the huge center claw on his primary, right top limb was ceremonially removed at his funeral; hermetically sealed in extremely hard “Eternium Plastic,” and used thereafter by each Reptiloid planetary ruler, who was legally crowned Ruler of the System, as a visible symbol atop the Royal Scepter of the king’s absolute power! But, as the oral, telepathic, and the written history from many races of beings throughout the timespan of the Cosmic All have frequently recorded, it is a fact that any tool, weapon, and/or any religious or political “symbol” can be used or manipulated for both “good” and for “bad.” And as such, what became known as the “Claw of Reptilus,” proved to be no exception to that wise bit of wisdom! It was a perfect example of the common saying on at least several‑hundred‑thousand planets in the ICOPE and its Sphere of Influence: “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely!”
Thus, as the Annals of the Imperial Magi have recorded many times through the over 500,000 years of the Empire, when a planetary or multi-planet or interstellar government gains absolute power over a world or a federation or an interstellar confederation, it usually tends to slowly become totally corrupt; then over decades or centuries or millennia, the totalitarian regime slowly starts to disintegrate, which causes the government’s society to gradually slide into anarchy and total chaos! The Thunder Worlds were no exception to this maxim about the ultimate downward “spiral of power” for any planetary, interplanetary, galactic, or intergalactic government!
But could anything save the Thunder Worlds from anarchy, when one fateful day, another rival planetary confederation stole their precious political symbol? Only the “Winds of Destiny” knew if there were enough reptile patriots living on the troubled planets who had enough backbone, or in the case of the Reptiloids, cartilage, to organize a sufficient force to rise up in time, and know what to do; in order to save their home worlds from being taken over, and probably destroyed, by their enemies! Because of their unique powers, the legendary and controversial Winds of Destiny (See Appendix II) knew the probable outcome of the future civil conflict on the Thunder Worlds; but they very rarely communicate or interfere in the affairs of any solid sentient being living on any planet in the Cosmic All! (An exception to their rule is documented in both sections of the Imperial document Two Time Winners —Ryan Nelson Bax-ter Jones and Blow ; and also in the Imperial Document Cleonardo Zantrick Watson, the Trecian Witch ; both of which should available soon at your local Imperial library, online store, or local bookstore.)
And so, with the ultimate fate of the Thunder Worlds in jeopardy, and the Winds of Destiny watching, several seemingly unimportant players, which were somehow each also involved in their own personal Ultimate Destiny, slowly moved into position on the Main Galactic Timeline! These sentient beings, who were to soon play major parts on the so-called “Galactic Checkerboard of Power,” were as yet unaware of their importance and how their moves on their own life path would ultimately determine their own…Ultimate Fate!
Chapter 1
It seemed to be a typical day at the imposing subterranean Imperial Seers headquarters of the ICOPE (Interstellar Condominium of Planets and Empires,) on the capital planet called Empire Prime, which is situated in the first quadrant of the Official Original Mapping of the Cosmic All; produced by the Empire’s first FTL robot mapping endeavor, several hundred thousand years ago. Working in the deep basement of the heavily shielded and physically protected building, a mid-range seniority Seer with the formal public Magi name of “Rondoe Kanne,” was checking messages that had been received on the Imperial FTL exclusive com channel reserved for the Imperial Mages to send messages; when he noticed an alert broadcast by an Imperial Seer named Kancor Crokan, who was stationed in a far off quadrant of the galaxy. In the last few hours, the Mage had sent several reports electronically; all of which would be saved in the “Annals of the Imperial Seers” for all of Eternity! They had been automatically printed out on archaic paper, sent telepathically, and also sound recorded, by the far-off Magi, to alert the rest of his “Scout Team” at Imperial Seer Headquarters to the fact that his mindar senses had detected a particularly strong belt of the fabled, and controversial, Winds of Destiny blowing into his present position!
