Sneak Peek of A Real Love - By Porscha Sterling

Chapter One
1

Monsta

I know this bitch didn’t say what I thought she said. I couldn’t get my hand around her neck quick enough. This bitch was gonna tell me what I wanted to know. I could hear her gasping for her next breath. Then, she started drooling. I didn’t feel like wasting one drop of mercy on her. Who the fuck marries two fucking brothers? That half shit didn’t mean shit to me. If he was my brother, then that’s what he was.
“I know you hear me. What the fuck did you just say?” I asked her again.
“It’s gonna be hard as hell for her to answer with you squeezing the life out of her like that,” Keno said.
“Fuck all that. Let him kill the shiesty bitch,” Delon chimed in.
I let her neck go again to see if her husband had some answers for me. I stomped over to him, ready to stomp his face if he even acted like he wanted to jump stupid.
“Aye, motherfucker, get your ass up,” I said as I slapped him all in his face. It took about five or ten minutes, but he eventually opened his eyes. “Yo, who the fuck are you?” he asked.
The nigga seemed to have forgotten where he was before he took his nap. He looked over to see Gia on the floor crying and coughing. Leave it to her to try to get some sympathy even in this situation. He tried to get up but was stopped by me pushing him against the wall.
“I’m Marvell Anderson Jr. Who the fuck are you?” he asked.
I shook my head because this nigga was trying to get knocked out again with all that fucking attitude he had. He had my father’s name, and that was the one reason why I didn’t jump on his ass.
“According to Gia, I’m your brother. The name’s Monsta. My dad was Marvell Anderson, so I guess we have a father in common and a wife in common,” I told him.
I said it with a smirk, but that smirk was the only way I could contain the anger building inside me.
“What the fuck are you talking about, nigga?” he asked with too much bass in his voice. “Gia, what the hell is going on? What the fuck is this nigga talking about?” he barked at her.
She was doing the most, but he wanted answers, just like I did. From the look on his face, it was plain as day that he didn’t know what the hell was going on either.
“Bitch, I know you’re fucking faking, so start fucking talking before I slap the shit out of your ass,” he said and walked over to where she was.
“Marvy, give me a minute to get it together,” she begged with her hands up like that was gonna stop him from fucking her up. He hauled off and slapped the dog shit out of her. “You had the seven years that I was locked up to get your shit together. Get to talking, or I’m gonna beat your ass in here,” he argued with her.
“After you got locked up, I was lonely. I needed to have someone to be with me like we were when I was in college. I came home to find that in Marlon. I knew he would take care of me because of what we had in high school. You knew what was going on because I told you. You told me that you didn’t want me to put my life on pause because you were locked up. You weren’t supposed to get out for another seven years,” she cried.
He backhanded her ass so hard that she spun around in a complete circle. The girls looked at us like we were supposed to do something about what he was doing.
“That’s his wife,” I said. I wasn’t getting in shit with them right now. Y’all can be mad all you fucking want about it too.
“This is the motherfucker you were supposed to be with. You said y’all were just dating. Not once did you say his name or say that you fucking married him. You knew I was looking for my brother too, bitch. Not once did you say you knew him. What type of shit are you on? What’s ya fucking angle? I know your sneaky ass has one. Spill it before I start spilling your blood on this beautiful floor,” he told her.
“Hold up. You knew about me? I didn’t know shit about you,” I said. I had to clarify that because I never knew a damn thing about him.
“Yeah, I know you didn’t. Our mothers are cousins. When my mom got pregnant, our pops was supposed to marry her. She got a job out of town, and he was supposed to come but never did. My mom finally did a pop up on his ass, and that’s when she found out that he was living with ya mom, and she was pregnant by him. That shit fucked my mom up. She told me all about it just before I got locked up,” he explained. “We can do all the DNA or whatever else you wanna do to back up what I’m telling you. I know this shit ain’t easy to believe,” he told me.
I guess Gia felt like we were too wrapped up in our conversation to pay attention to her. Her dumb ass tried to run out of the house. I caught her by her sew in and shut that shit down. She screamed out in pain as I yanked her back to where I was standing.
“Where the fuck do you think you’re going, bitch? We’re not finished with your ass yet,” I said to her. “Yo, Delon, drop them off at Adrian’s house. I’ll be there to get Courtney when I’m done here.”
“I’ll stay here with you. Some shit isn’t right with these two,” Keno said.
I understood where he was coming from, but there wasn’t shit that would stop me from torturing this bitch. She’d played with my emotions and my heart. There was no way she was going to get out of this with just an explanation full of lies. My father always told me that snakes reveal themselves even when they think they’re getting over on you. It was up to me to pay attention. I had a feeling that my new found brother knew a lot more than he was letting on. There were too many questions floating in my head for me to believe he had no idea that she was up to no good.
“Nah, I got this. This is some, sure enough, family shit. She wanted to marry brothers, so she’s gonna get tortured by brothers,” I told him.
“Hold up. Why do we have to get dropped off? We don’t have shit to do with all the fucked up branches in your family tree. We’re good to go about the day as normal,” Adrian said.
“Nah, y’all not. I got a feeling something else is going on besides her trying to fuck all the Anderson men. Just trust me on this. Go to your house. Delon will stay there with y’all. I should have more answers by the time I come get Courtney. All this shit ain’t just a fucking coincidence,” I said.
Courtney didn’t say anything. She just grabbed her purse and walked out the door. I hope she understood what all this meant for us. I smirked at the brief thought of how sore she was gonna be once I got my hands on her.
“Does this house have a basement?” Marvell asked Adrian.
She nodded and pointed in the direction of the basement. We smiled at each other. It was time to get some real fucking answers.
“Hold on to her for a minute. I have some shit in my trunk that we could use,” I said before pushing her in his direction.
I jogged out to the car to get my bag of tools. I don’t know why I kept the bag in the trunk after all these years. It was gonna get some work in tonight, though. I slammed the trunk after snatching up the dusty bag and jogged to the house. Itching to find out what was going on, I walked into the house and a strange feeling came over me.
I walked in the direction of where Adrian said the basement was, but it was too quiet. I’m saying, I didn’t hear the nigga fussing at her or her overly dramatic ass crying and shit. I walked down the steps to the basement, and it just as empty as the rest of the house. No trace of either of them. I dropped the bag and jogged through the house to see if they were anywhere in there. Of course, I came up empty. I got the bag and walked back to the car. I didn’t know what the fuck was going on, but it was obvious that I was gonna end up killing my brother and OUR wife.

I pulled up to Adrian’s house trying to calm my mad ass down. I couldn’t believe the show they had put on at the house. Now I knew that whatever Gia had going on, his ass was in on it. The question is why, though? I couldn’t figure out a reason for all of this to be going on. I heard a tap on the window and looked up to see Courtney standing there looking at me. I rolled the window down.
“You’ve been out here for almost an hour. Do you wanna talk about it?” she asked.
“Not right now. Go tell your girl that you’re leaving with me, though,” I told her.
Courtney looked like she wanted to get smart, but she kept it to he
