BOOK 1

Preface
The journey that has led this gifted being to become, is one that would subscribe her to the walls of giants. She was born very tiny; however, her heart and mind were larger than the ocean that crosses the atlantic. My Princess, Maleekha, since the first stage of her lifespan has known precisely what she’ll be doing in life. Perhaps, a coincidental perception of what her future life should be, she purviews.
Led by her mother’s intuition and a sense of knowledge, my princess has developed a strange passion for reading as her mother used to read for her while asleep in her womb. Guided by her unique calling to be a writer with full understanding what lies on her shoulders like veracity and integrity of thoughts, an unstoppable desire for intellectual adventure that her dad himself is a pioneer in the family.
She is the sweetest individual ever encountered, she is the personification of kindness, and the most curious being. Pushed by the desire to learn and develop, she embraces this adventure that leads her to imaginary thoughts and intellectual discovery. This endeavor, for my princess, Maleekha, is not just an out of the blue essay rather a well thought out decision to think deeper, harder, and more profoundly.
In her quest to pursue and find answers to many questionable life’s events, Maleekha buckles up to embark in the unknown. Maleekha’s life is unparallel, even at a very young age, she has experienced sorrows, pains, melancholy, and joy which guides her mind into her destination that only she can describe with a pen and few ideas. Maleekha is exceptional! Not by a father’s standpoint but observer.
She is elegant, a wonderful and beautiful girl haunted by the desire to test the imagination. My extraordinary daughter’s proposition in this book is undoubtedly not her first imaginary adventure, however, her story is singular, attrayant, and intriguing just as her life. Readers will find this interesting because Maleekha has done an outstanding job from start to finish in clear and concise thoughts delivering her impressions as they solemnly appeared in her imagination.

Chapter 1
Ok Beachgrove middle, who is ready for the last day of school?!!! Wooo, yayy. To the eighth graders, we’re going to miss you, don’t forget to say bye to your teachers!!
“Last day of school!” Aluna screamed as the last bell rang. “I know, I’m so excited!” Mira shouted. “Aluna! Mira! You two troublemakers better start listening,” Ms. Henshaw shouted. Ms. Henshaw was Aluna Mira’s meanest teacher. Luckily, class went by fast since Ms. Henshaw wouldn’t stop talking about herself. They would definitely not miss her
After being bored out of their minds, they were happy that study hall was their last class. Luckily, it was with their favorite teacher, Mr. Valentino. “Okay class, quiet down!” he shouted in a stern voice. After a few seconds of silence, laughter started to fill the air “I couldn’t take myself seriously either!” Mr. Valentino chuckled,”but seriously, everybody do your summer reading!” Mr. V was always chill on Fridays as long as the class never interrupted him when he was talking.
During class Aluna and Mira worked on their podcast and asked Mr. Valentino for help. “Wow girls, I like all the ideas,” he said, “When you get famous you better mention me!” Aluna and Mira chuckled. “Of course we will, after all, you’re our inspiration. We’re going to miss you the most.”
“Code H!!!” Macy whispered. “Code H” was the class code for “ Henshaw is coming!” Just as Ms. Henshaw came in, everyone scrambled to find their seats. Mr Valentino, pretending like he had been walking around the room, asked “Who can name the war that happened in…” He turned around and paused, saying “Edna, can I help you?” Her glare pierced the class as she growled saying “No, carry on.” Henshaw thought that study halls were ‘a waste’ so she would always make sure the teachers were teaching something. The class started to go back to normal, although everyone was still on edge. Just as the class started to talk again Henshaw peeked her head in. Aluna was the first to notice, so she quickly shouted “War of 1812!!!” Everyone clapped as Ms. Henshaw rolled her eyes, walking away.
“That was a close one,” Mr. Valentino said nervously. Everyone began to chat just as the G’s (who were only the most annoying gossip group in the entire world ) blurted out “Aluna Mira are making a podcast!! They’re toOotally gonna get famous and forget about us!” The class paused and all eyes were on the girls. They didn’t want the attention at all. Just as the class gathered around them, ready to ask questions… “bbbbrrrrring!” The bell rang and everyone was dismissed. Everyone began to walk away, whispering and looking. “That was close,” Mira said anxiously. They packed up their things and dashed for the door. “Hey, don’t forget to do your summer rea-!” Mr. Valentino shouted as they ran out the room.
“We can finally go home!!” Aluna screamed with excitement. “Ya, except we have…” Mira didn’t get to finish her sentence. A high pitched scream was NOTHING compared to Coach Sanchez’s whistle. “Okay ladies, this is our last run!” screamed Coach Sanchez. “No no NO… not today” whined Aluna, “Not on the last day of school.” They dragged their feet to the starting point annnd… “FOUR LAPS anddd…GO!!”.
Five (VERY VERY LONG) minutes later…
Aluna stopped to take a breath. “S-stop running Mira!!!” she panted “I’m way too tired for this!” Mira was miles ahead, singing “Slowpoke! Slowpoke!” over and over again to mock Aluna. “What are you, a fifth grader?” Aluna shouted as she tried to catch up. Mira was the fastest runner on the team, which is why she joined. Aluna didn’t want to join, but since Mira wouldn’t join unless she did… Aluna had no choice.
After they finished resting on the bench Mira got up and said “C’mon Luna let’s walk to my house.” “Ughhh nooo, why can’t your mom come and get us.” Aluna complained.
“Race yuh!!!” Mira smirked as she dashed towards the house.
“Stop.. running!!” Aluna panted as she started to slow down. Luna was about to sit on the sidewalk when she accidentally bumped into someone.
“Oh my gosh, I’m SO sorry” said Aluna as papers flew into the air
Aluna tried to help the person up, but they quickly grabbed their papers and hurriedly walked away.
“That was weird? That was weird… right?” Aluna asked
“Deeeefinetly weird” Mira asked as she turned her head to see who it was.
“They’re gone” Mira sighed as she started walking
“I can see your house! FINALLY” Aluna shouted as she ran
“I thought you were tired? Mira shouted as she ran after her
When they finally got home (Two VERY VERY LONG minutes later according to Luna), they read some of Mira’s favorite books. They imagined how cool it would be to live in a world where anything was possible. Out of nowhere, Aluna screamed “I can’t believe it’s SUMMER!! time for endless sleepovers!!”
“Luna, when I come back Monday, let’s have a sleepover with Macy!!”
“Ok.. I can’t believe you’re going away… I’ll miss you” Aluna whined as she hugged Mira.
“I’ll miss you too Luna” Mira replied
During the first days of summer, Aluna and her friend Macy went surfing and volunteered to raise money for different causes. On monday, Mira, Aluna, Macy were going to have a sleepover, but Macy couldn’t make it. They decided to sleep outside in Mira’s backyard. “Really, you did ALL that while I was gone,” Mira laughed “You care way too much about the planet.” Aluna laughed with Mira as they shared stories.
After sharing, they got out of the tent to look at the sky and noticed all the stars. “So pretty!!!” Aluna said in amazement “ooo look at that shooting star!” Mira replied without looking up “yup sooo pretty” Aluna grabbed Mira’s phone before she could finish her text.”Heyy,” Mira started as she looked at the sky“heyy, is it…umm.. GETTING CLOSER?”
“What are you talking about?” Aluna asked as she looked up and squinted. The star was heading straight towards them! “RUN!” she screamed. They both jumped for cover, thinking that some big explosion was about to happen.
The star came spiraling down as fast as lightning. “WE’RE GOING TO DIE!!” they screamed. They covered their heads, then realized that it had stopped in the middle
of them. “Mira, what is happening?” cried Aluna. “I have no clue,” Mira whispered. The star started going further and further away, so Mira started to follow it. “What are you doing Mira?” questioned Aluna “Stop following it!!!”. “I-It looks like it’s going somewhere,” Mira said. As Mira started going closer, Aluna grabbed her hand. “What Luna?” Mira asked as she looked at her. “Uhhh, it stopped,” she whispered. All of a sudden they started getting closer to the star, as if they were getting dragged in. The star began to vibrate and slowly started spinning into a portal. Aluna was so shocked that she didn’t realize her hold on Mira was slipping. “Luna! I’m slipping” screamed Mira. Aluna quickly s
