‘All Through the Blood—Forgiven to Forgive’ is being dedicated to the loving memory of my parents, the Late Samuel Leroy and Jenell Anderson. I honor their commitment to raising my siblings Deloris, Leroy, Eric, Albert, Jenell, my niece Staffon, and me in the fear and admonition of the Lord. They taught us what faith in, and service to Christ looked like in motion, and never compromised the teaching of God’s Word in our home. Growing up, I learned that becoming a parent is not hard, but to be a parent is however.

Ephesians 1:7 gracefully expresses that “we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” It is in the vein and context of this divine and wonderful revelation that Marian Turenne has candidly communicated her life story.
 
Marian’s emphasis on the power of God’s forgiveness through the blood of Jesus is a healthy injection into the life of any believer. Furthermore, regardless of the hardships and difficulties experienced, she gives glory to God for His Grace and ever-present help in her times of trouble.
 
You will quickly discover many honest and vivid examples communicated throughout this ‘work of faith and labor of love’ that express Marian’s love for her father, Bishop Samuel Leroy Anderson. The training and support provided by Bishop Anderson is an obvious and recurring theme throughout her narrative. We are instant benefactors of the investments made by both parents including her mother Jenell. Their example as godly parents produced a life that is being used by God to encourage many believers. If one of the roles of parents is to expand their lives to others through their children, then Marian’s testimony, as evidenced in this book, would have made them proud.
 
Another theme painted throughout is the constant encouragement to take a look at oneself and take accountability and responsibility for behavior that does not glorify God. She consoles and counsels that there is ‘hope, help, and healing’ in giving it all to God.
Many churchgoers are entrenched deeply in various religious ruts. They hide hurts, disappointments, failures, fears, and sins while attending religious activity after religious activity. Marian’s honesty challenges us to “stop it!” She commands us to address our intense need for God’s forgiveness through the blood. Personal forgiveness and the forgiveness of others is a wonderful tone poignantly shared in her life examples.
 
This is definitely a life journey vividly expressed in clear and obvious terms. Regardless of your status, you can learn from Marian’s dramatic personal accounts. Marian is free because of the blood of Jesus. You will be encouraged, challenged, convicted, and moved to seek God and receive the same forgiveness that occurs only through the blood.

INTRODUCTION
It’s amazing because just months before I began writing, a line from the chorus of one of my favorite hymns, ‘God Leads His Dear Children Along,’ became the title of my book. The song goes, ‘Some through the water; some through the flood, some through the fire, but All Through the Blood.’ Forgiven to Forgive demonstrates the level of transparency and real commitment it took for me to expose the pain of toxic relationships, resentment, and emotional despair to being brought into complete healing and wholeness. You will experience my successes, my joys, you will feel my pain, you might laugh or even cry at times, shucks you might even think ‘what a jerk,’ but one thing is for sure, you will be able to find yourself somewhere in my story.
The desire of my heart has been to glorify God through my writing and to share my long process to ultimate reconciliation and recovery. I also pray that once you finish reading you too will be absolutely convinced as I am that without a doubt, Christ is the Son of the Living God. Not Buddha, not Harry Krishna, nor Mohammed, but Christ alone is the Son of the Living God!
CHAPTER ONE
What a Legacy
Created With Purpose
Writing this book has provided me the platform needed to share God’s infinite grace and mercy in my life. I want to be an encouragement to those who are truly seeking to honestly serve Him. All Through the Blood—Forgiven to Forgive represents my inspirational journey from childhood to adulthood. In good times and in bad, in the valleys I waddled through and over every mountain I ever crawled. There has been this one amazing truth that has not only sustained me but challenged me to get it right . . . Christ has been right there with me in the midst of it all! As I began yielding to the will of the Father, the prompting to begin writing about my journey, my spiritual legacy and the significance of the Blood of Christ over my life became quite evident.
My goal is to engage and challenge our cultural complacency. To expose the compromise and to blow the Shofar against the callousness we have permitted while refusing to assume responsibility for personal choices. We have been so insensitive that it has caused a bunch of us to use every ridiculous excuse in the book for not taking a spiritual inventory and living up to our potential while fulfilling our purpose. I unashamedly expose my own harebrain experiences in order to instigate and set in motion your repositioning beyond every traumatic circumstance, excuse, and struggle. The challenge is to take an honest look at ourselves. Then I offer the solution to bringing an end to the vicious cycle we get twisted up in, to begin truly trusting our Heavenly Father. Listen, I’ve been where a whole lot of you are right now and I want you to know, there is hope, and there is help; but most of all there is healing. My prayer is that if you don’t already know Him as Savior, that when you’re done reading ‘All Through the Blood-Forgiven to Forgive’ you will experience Him for who he truly is. I also make a sincere effort to get on the nerves of those who believe they have arrived. All of you hypocritical folk who are just down right annoying. Please wake up! In case you haven’t heard . . . It’s not about you, it’s all about the Kingdom!
The major source of encouragement, inspiration and motivation have been my children Angela and Jason. God predestined and preordained them to be a part of my life in order that I would be where I am today fulfilling my purpose. Having to raise them as a single mom was the boot-camp experience that provided me training in the art of living a fruitful, Spirit-filled life. A life lived where my deliverance and ultimate healing came through my genuine relationship with Christ; a first-class sense of humor and an enormous dose of optimism.
